Cluck-A-Pop
- “CAPSULE MACHINE Spend tokens to win CLUCK-A-POP capsules. Each one contains a unique surprise!”
- —Cluck-A-Pop description
Cluck-A-Pop (known as Chick-N-Win in British English) is a mode in Game & Wario where the player can use tokens they find in the minigames to obtain prize capsules out of a machine resembling a chicken. Each token gives the player one chance to "pop" a prize out of the chicken machine. The color of the capsules determine the type of prize: Call Codes come from yellow capsules, Bugband performances come from green capsules, BALLOON FIGHTER microgames come from orange capsules, Mona Superscoops and Orbulon's Prized Masterpieces come from purple capsules, Hint and Character cards come from blue capsules, and all other items come from red capsules. Additionally, The Game & Wario Epilogue and the Illustrated Schnozzipedia come from golden capsules and are only obtained by completing Pirates and Bowling respectively. After obtaining all prizes, the player obtains a Cluck-A-Pop machine replica from a white capsule before the machine itself transforms into a token machine. There are 240 collection prizes in total.
The Cluckade machines in the Emporium in WarioWare: Get It Together! resemble the Cluck-A-Pop capsule machines.
Tokens[edit]
Tokens for the Cluck-A-Pop can be obtained by:
- Opening the game's savefile once per day.
- Ski: In "Ski Bunny Slopes" at every 100,000 points, equivalent to every 10 checkpoints or 10,000m.
- Patchwork: Completing a 30-, 60- or 90-Second Challenge level. Its hint card claims that completing 10 regular puzzles will earn a token too.
- Bird: Reach a point milestone at every 10,000, then have Pyoro eat the token that falls down.
- Arrow: According to its hint card, "When you replay stages in which you've achieved Master status, look for a MechaWario minion carrying a token. If you shoot it, it's yours!"
- Shutter: According to its hint card, "After you've photographed all of your targets (in an ongoing stage), a token will appear somewhere in the stage. Snap a good photo of it to score it!"
- Kung Fu: According to its hint card, "In "All You Can Eat" mode, keep an eye out for random floating tokens. If you see one, jump up and snag it!"
- Gamer: Tokens will sometimes appear on during Endless mode. If they are tapped on, they are obtained.
- Design: If a perfect 100 is scored during a circle drawing prompt.
- Ashley: According to its hint card, "After you've achieved Best Buddy status in a stage, keep an eye out for a token the next time you play. If you do a loop around it, it's yours!"
- Taxi: According to its hint card, "After achieving Taxi King status in a stage, the next time you play it, a token will appear on the map after you defeat the mothership."
- Pirates: According to its hint card, "When playing a stage you've already scored a Perfect on, (Wario will) sometimes yell out "Token!" Block the arrow and shake it off in rhythm to snag it!"
- Bowling: Successfully completing a Token Challenge in Classic Mode.
- After the Capsule Machine turns into the Token Machine, Tokens can be earned by scoring them in the bucket at the bottom of the field.
In addition, collecting 9,999 tokens through the Token Machine will reward the player with a Ribbon, before resetting the token counter.
