Mole is a microgame appearing in 9-Volt & 18-Volt's minigame in Game & Wario, Gamer. It is playable individually as a Cluck-A-Pop souvenir, titled BALLOON FIGHTER: Mole. This is also the only original Game & Wario microgame to reappear by itself in WarioWare Gold, in which it is found in Mona's set.

Gameplay[edit]

A level dependent person's face is shown on screen. There are one to seven black moles on their face. Midway through the game, the screen darkens to show a user interface that asks for the number moles on the person's face. The moles can still be distinguished from the person while the screen is darkened. There are three answers available, which are always consecutive whole numbers. The choices are in a vertical list with the lowest number at the top and the greatest number at the bottom, and the player always starts selecting the top most number. The current selected answer is indicated by both the text being in yellow and a pointing hand. The player must select the correct answer with +Control Pad up or down and confirm it by by pressing A Button before time runs out to complete the microgame. The menu supports vertical wrapping, so pressing +Control Pad up while selecting the top option moves the selection to the bottom option and pressing +Control Pad down while selecting the bottom option moves the selection to the top option.

After confirming an answer, the screen lightens back to normal. If the player confirms the correct answer, the person will smile and blush. If the player confirms an incorrect answer, the person will be annoyed and the moles will blink red.

Game & Wario[edit]

  • Level 1: The subject is a girl, and there are no distractions.
  • Level 2: The subject is a trembling old man. One or two mosquitoes fly around him, and one of his moles falls off, which must be excluded from the count.
  • Level 3: The subject is a girl whose eyes and nostrils look like her moles, and one of her actual moles may fall off. One or two mosquitoes fly around her. Sometimes the game will ask for the number of eyes rather than moles.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

In WarioWare Gold, the maximum number of moles a person can have is five instead of seven. The answers available are either "1, 2, 3" or "3, 4, 5".

  • Level 1: The subject is a girl whose nostrils look like slightly larger versions of moles colored a lighter shade of black.
  • Level 2: The subject is a trembling old man with nostrils and spots that look like smaller versions of moles colored light gray.
  • Level 3: The subject is a woman whose makeup melts off, revealing her eyes look like slightly larger versions of moles. Some moles may only be visible after the makeup has melted away. The background is more colorful than the other difficulty levels.
