The Door Key is an item found in Super Paper Mario. In Gloam Valley, Mario encounters a locked door. A nearby door leads to a room containing two Squiglets and a Squig, which reveal a Door Key when defeated. The Door Key can then be used to unlock the previous door, leading to another section of Gloam Valley.
Later, another Door Key is found in a rift above a statue on Planet Blobule. This Door Key is used to open the door leading to the chapter's end. In The Underwhere, Jaydes gives Mario a Door Key to investigate a fellow in green having reportedly fallen into the River Twygz, opening a door into the tunnels beneath the river. Hagra later gives Mario another Door Key as a reward for returning her Diet Book. This Door Key is used to open a locked door on Underwhere Road.
In The Overthere, Mario receives yet another Door Key as a reward for rescuing Sunbi from two Skellobits. This Door Key is used to unlock a door at the beginning of the stage. Later in the stage, another Door Key is obtained after freeing Whibbi from a block of ice. This Door Key is used to unlock a door leading to the rest of the level.
