The Metal Racket is a Fever Racket in Mario Tennis Fever. It is unlocked after playing 42 matches. The racket resembles a green Cap Block from Super Mario 64, with a square head with green and white stripes, a green net with a exclamation point, and a green handle. When fully charged, the racket glows.

Fever Shot[edit]

The Metal Racket's Fever Shot is called the Metal Boost. It transforms the player into their Metal form for 8 seconds, fully covering them in a grey metallic material. While in this form, the player is invincible to other obstacles in the court, and receive a boost to their shot strength. While invincible, the player is immune to most other Fever Racket effects on the court, such as touching obstacles or walking over mud. The player can also walk over ice from an Ice Shot without losing traction. Pokeys fall over if touched, and obstacles such as Pokey segments, Bananas and Amps disappear. However, tornados and Mini Mushrooms don't disappear if touched. As of update 1.0.2, the Metal Boost can also defeat Spinies.[1] If the player is shrunken from a Mini Mushroom, they grow back to normal size. The invincibility does not prevent the player's screen from being obscured by ink from an Inky Shot or from being pushed back by a Shova Boost's shot.

When activated, the Fever Shot is also a powerful shot which damages players around the area where the ball bounces.
