The Mushroom Tennis Academy is the main location of the Adventure Mode in Mario Tennis Fever. After Mario and Luigi are turned into babies, they are sent to the academy in order to re-learn their tennis skills. here, students take on various assignments using Drill-o-matic training machines, as well as take on practice matches and rank-up matches in order to win stickers for their player cards, which are necessary to advance in rank. Students start at the Junior-Varsity Class, or JV Class, before moving up to the Varsity Class. The Varsity Class is composed of five ranks, from E to A. When students reach the A rank, they are able to participate in the Mushroom Tennis Academy Graduation Tournament held at the Stadium Court. Winning the tournament grants them the final sticker and allows them to graduate from the academy.
The academy is made up of various facilities built around a central courtyard. The main building is located at its entrance, and it contains a lobby, the director's office, a study room for quizzes, and a Toad House-themed cafeteria. To the right side is the training center, where Drill-o-matic training machines are found. Behind the academy is the stadium where tournaments are held. The Academy Courts can be accessed by pipes on either side of the path to the stadium. Screens mounted with F.L.U.D.D.-shaped heads are found at the pipes and Drill-o-matic machines. To the left side of the courtyard is a dormitory building where the player can save and quit the mode.
Inside the training center is a machine-assisted training court where a mechanical Piranha Plant is used to launch tennis balls for practice. The facility's left side, denoted by red colors, contains six training machines used to improve strength and stamina. The right side, marked by blue colors, contains three training machines that focus on training with a partner.
