Mewtroid is a character in WarioWare Gold. They are a being in a cat themed robot suit, with some similarities to Samus's Power Suit. This suit is further attached to an even larger robot in the vein of a Power Loader from the film Aliens. In the premise of the minigame Mewtroid 2: Return of Sameow, Mewtroid captures Sameow. The minigame has Sameow locked in a room, held on a cat's paw in the wall, and forced to fight off enemies. Mewtroid appears on the minigame's title screen, but not in the game. The predecessor of Mewtroid 2: Return of Sameow, Mewtroid, is also named after this character. Mewtroid is one of the opponents in Wario Kard, where they are a powerful opponent who ignores the player's attacks if the attack does not beat the hand Mewtroid uses in rock-paper-scissors. Defeating them allows the player to use the rare Shuffler once for free.

Naming[edit]
This section needs WarioWare improvement. Specifically:
- Names in other languages section
"Mewtroid" is a portmanteau of "mew", a word for sound a cat makes, and "Metroid", the titular bioforms and a species of predator in the Metroid series of video games made by Nintendo.
Notes[edit]
- Mewtroid and Pyoro are the only two enemies in Wario Kard to originate from another minigame, rather than a microgame.
