The Mud Racket is one of the Fever Rackets in Mario Tennis Fever. It is available from the start. It is a brown Proto Piranha-themed racket. The bottom of the head resembles mud drooping, a wavy texture is laid out all over the racket, and a Proto Piranha emblem is in the center of the strings. When fully charged, the entire head gets covered in Mud, most notably the strings.

In the Trial Towers, the Mud Racket appears in the Tower of Trickery's "Splashin' in the Mud" trial as the player's racket.

Fever Shot[edit]

The Mud Racket's Fever Shot is called the Mud Shot. If the shot hits the ground, a large circular puddle of Mud will appear on the ground that will last for 20 seconds. It will slow down and slowly damage any players that come in contact with it, as well as slowing down balls that bounce on it. As they float, Rosalina, Luma, Boo, Kamek and Koopa Paratroopa are immune to the slowing effects of the mud, but still take damage.

Adventure Mode[edit]

Although not directly usable by Baby Mario, the Mud Racket does appear in the boss fight against Petey Piranha, where he uses it against Baby Mario and Daisy. When Petey Piranha gets angry enough, he will use the Mud Shot towards them, which needs to be parried back and forth until it hits him, and he can be attacked with a Fever Shot.
