popgun was an Adobe Flash game released by Nintendo in 2001. The game was made to promote Mario Party 3, and was available from the official Mario Party 3 website.

Details[edit]

Unlike most of the Flash games that were available from the site, the game's .SWF file has been archived in some form in addition to its .HTML file. The game's .SWF file was available from the path marioparty3.com/swf/popgun.swf, though the archived version of this file was captured in 2012, multiple years after the Mario Party 3 promotional website was taken down. Thus, the .SWF capture redirects to the homepage of mario.nintendo.com. The game's .HTML file, which is titled pop_popgun.html shares the naming convention of all of the other browser games to be released on the site, as each game features either its name or a truncated version of it as its file title.
