Shadow Spotter is a game on the Nintendo Kids Club website.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

The game consists of a random piece of artwork of a character from the Super Mario franchise. The player has a total of four different shadows which show a different pose of the same character. The player must select the shadow that matches the artwork, which will be highlighted with a green check mark, and they will move onto the next piece of artwork. If the player selects the incorrect shadow, it will be highlighted with a red "X" and they will have five seconds added to their timer. There are a total of five rounds and one difficulty level, though the pieces of artwork will be different each time. At the end of the game, a window pops up showing the player's score out of three stars based on the amount of time on the timer once they are finished.

The game can be paused at any point by clicking on the PAUSE button at the bottom. On the pause screen, the player can choose to start a new game or resume the current game.
