Shokushu are underwater obstacles in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. These long, spiky appendages that protrude from plant- or echinoderm-like structures on walls and the seafloor are found in only one level—the Sea Breeze Cove level Current Capers. They slowly sway from side to side, and are found in select areas of the stage in large numbers. The Kongs lose a heart from their health meter if they touch the obstacles, but can destroy one using Cranky Kong's cane or a Kong POW. Obtaining the stage's K and N Letters requires the Kongs to navigate around them.
