Koopa Troopa or Bombshell Koopa[edit]
Are we sure the Koopa Troopa bonus level isn't a Bombshell Koopa? The American manual doesn't give names for the bonus levels and the design of the bonus round more closely resembles the smooth, shiny shell of a Bombshell Koopa over any Koopa Troopa sprite. --BubzieBobkat (talk) 16:36, March 31, 2026 (UTC)
- With the exception of Mario and Bowser, all of the other patterns depict enemies first appearing Super Mario Bros. (Goombas, Piranha Plants, Cheep Cheeps). The developers randomly including a pattern of Super Mario Land enemy among the Super Mario Bros. character patterns seems out of place. Also, all of the bonus level patterns are taken from sprites, and Koopa Troopa's sprite from Super Mario Bros. is much closer to the pattern featured in this game than Bombshell Koopa's sprite from Super Mario Land.
