Chromatic melody?[edit]

What "chromatic melody" in the tune does this describe? Please elaborate... Also we need a verified title for this musical tune, aside from "Dr. Crygor" itself in DIY Showcase. Don't click Penny PnnyCrygr User contributions 19:12, March 18, 2024 (EDT)

It's heard very clearly as the eight notes played in the instrumental at the start of Penny's Song (the "DOO-doo-DOO-doo-DOO-doo-DOO-doo"). And agreed; I've seen the name "Dr. Crygor's Bathroom Jam" used a lot by fans (including elsewhere on this wiki) but I'm not sure where exactly it's from. The other theme[edit]

As is stated in the article, Dr. Crygor's theme was originally itself a variant of another theme from Mega Microgame$!, and I think it's worth discussing whether or not these two should be counted as separate themes. I personally think they should be (the "DOO-doo-DOO-doo-DOO-doo-DOO-doo" melody that keeps showing up in new WarioWare games is specifically from the music for Dr. Crygor's stage in Mega Microgame$! after all), but since that other theme is otherwise pretty much entirely confined to Mega Microgame$! and its mostly-port (and the "WarioWare, Inc. Medley" from Brawl), it may or may not make sense to group the two themes together with this one article covering both. JanMisali (talk) 17:08, March 25, 2024 (EDT)

I had forgotten about its use in the WarioWare microgame from Get It Together!. Counting the three separate Smash games that use the "WarioWare, Inc. Medley" and the versions of Dr. Crygor's theme that specifically preserve the melody from the original theme, that's eight separate games that use that theme, making it eligible for its own article. But since that theme doesn't have an official name (or commonly used conjectural name), and since its various appearances overlap so significantly with this theme, should instances of "unnamed recurring cutscene motif from Mega Microgame$!" be listed on this article? jan Misali (talk · contributions) 12:36, May 13, 2024 (EDT)

OHHHH, that's a toughie! SONIC123CDMANIA+&K(B&ATSA) (talk) 08:49, May 15, 2024 (EDT)

Guys, it's just the main theme for WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. It appears on the game's title screen and main menu, too, and an arrangement of the menu music for Super Smash Bros. Brawl is even titled "WarioWare, Inc." It's definitely NOT an unknown, untitled theme.
I don't understand how people haven't noticed, since it's as obvious as the Ground theme from Super Mario World being everywhere. I've literally said this a month and a half ago and it bothers me that NO ONE decided to do anything about it. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 04:57, August 13, 2024 (EDT)

Yeah, it is definitely the main theme of the game, but the "WarioWare, Inc." track in Brawl only arranges the half of the menu music that isn't shared with Dr. Crygor's theme and all the miscellaneous cutscene tracks, so I was hesitant to apply that specific name for the full theme. It's still a reasonable name though, and it works better than just leaving it unnamed. jan Misali (talk · contributions) 09:44, August 13, 2024 (EDT)
Just in case, here's a list where the recurring motif from the main theme appears, from what I can gather:
WarioWare, Inc:. Mega Microgame$!
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
WarioWare D.I.Y.
  • Game intro (during arrangement of Dr. Crygor's theme)
WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase
WarioWare: Get It Together!

Further inspection makes me realize the title theme on its own could very well be a potential recurring theme too. And maybe Wario's theme. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 10:48, August 13, 2024 (EDT)
