This is a list of 8-bit-style Luigis in non-8-bit games other than New Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, NES Remix 2, and Super Mario Odyssey.

Super Mario series

New Super Mario Bros.

  • One of the unlockable bottom screen backgrounds has a close-up image of 8-bit Mario and Luigi.

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Maker

  • When starting the game on a Sunday, an 8-bit Fire Luigi walks in from the left side of the screen and shoots a fireball at Builder Mario.
  • Luigi is available as a Mystery Mushroom costume.
  • When Mario uses a Big Mushroom, several enemies and objects turn into Luigi sprites or have Luigi riding on them.

Super Mario Run

  • The Weekend Spotlight: Retro Items Super Bonus Game events included classic and modern 8-bit Luigi statues.

Super Mario Maker 2

  • Luigi is a playable character, including in the Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3 game styles, where he is an 8-bit sprite. In addition, the Super Mario Bros. style includes the Super Mario Bros. 2 mushroom and the Superball Flower, which shows his Super Mario Bros. 2 sprite and a Super Mario Land-style sprite.
  • If the player knocks on a door in the editor enough times, Weird Mario will answer the door with a variety of costumes and powerups. In the Super Mario 3D World style, there is a chance for an 8-bit Luigi to answer the door instead.

Mario Kart series

  • Near the starting line in Mario Circuit, there is a sign with the text "Mario" which has two 8-bit Marios and an 8-bit Luigi on top of it.

Super Paper Mario

  • When Luigi uses a Pal Pill, several small 8-bit Luigis surround him.
  • Super Dimentio has an ability similar to the Pal Pill where he sends out 8-bit Luigis to attack the player.
  • When Luigi uses a Mega Star, he turns into a giant 8-bit version of himself. When it runs out, several smaller 8-bit Luigis pop out.

Mario & Sonic series

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

  • During the Tokyo 1964 events, the characters use their 8-bit sprites from Super Mario Bros., including Luigi.
