Hey[edit]
As long as you aren't doing anything wrong, you don't need to worry about being a vandal or troll. If you did something wrong, someone will let you know, so you don't need to say that with every message.
That said, when checking information on any wiki (especially wikia), make sure your sources are correct. Luigi definitely didn't debut on a Game Watch seven years after his actual debut, and I never heard of those games. 21:36, May 22, 2019 (EDT)
I meant Luigi's hammer toss game was the first game to give Luigi his first role without Mario. It was his first solo game. I know you haven't heard of those games. But now you have. I must make sure your knowledge of how many Mario games, donkey kong games, Tetris games and Mario character games that are not Mario's own games there are is expanded along with the knowledge of all the other wiki members. Not that you're dumb, but you just don't have everything covered. I can help this wiki mention all of those games. Please let me help you. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:48, May 22, 2019 (EDT)
We got super Mario bros pinball back on the list! We did it! I have a question. How often should I make edits to the list? Lord Falafel (talk) 12:13, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- (Apparently a pinball machine counts as an arcade)
- If there's any games missing, they should be added. I don't know if we should include Flash games or not, though. 12:18, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
We should. And the play Nintendo games. And all the other games I sent you. Including the arcade games. They are all made and endorsed by Nintendo. I'll add some games right now. If a page for a game doesn't exist, please make one. If you wish to find the donkey kong pinball machine with no country in the title that is less common than the donkey kong country pinball machine and both are tabletop electronic pinball games and not life size machines like super Mario bros pinball or super Mario bros mushroom world, or any of the other games I told you about, you can find them through the sources I mentioned. It's a little tricky it seems for me to add new systems and platforms for some of my sent games. So, I need you to add Adobe flash, play Nintendo, the Nintendo arcade series called Nintendo super system, the electronic tabletop pinball machines and project Atlantis. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:36, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
3 sources: list of Mario games Mariowiki fandom powered by wikia (the list of games in alphabetical order), list of games featuring Mario Wikipedia and game watch guys. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:44, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- The wikia and Wikipedia themselves are not valid sources. Who are the Game Watch guys? 13:45, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- And looking at Wikipedia's list, there's nothing about Luigi's Hammer Throw, Mario's Egg Catch, or Toadstool's Castle Run. 13:48, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
I thought they were valid sources. These are real games and their release dates and regions and manufacturers are correct. They were all endorsed by Nintendo. Please trust me and please keep these games on the list. The game watch guys are people on a website called gamewatchguys.com and they archive wrist watch LCD games from different developers. They've done a pretty good job archiving all those tiny little watches and gathering their information. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:50, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- It's not that I don't trust you, it's that I don't trust the source. The Game Watch Guys seem valid as they actually have images of the Game Watches to go with the titles.
- But unless you can prove the titles on Wikia and Wikipedia exist, they aren't going to stay on the list. 13:53, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
Look up list of Mario games. If you find a page called list of Mario games Mariowiki fandom powered by wikia, click on it. The one that lists the games alphabetically. That page has the 3 games you just told me. Wikipedia doesn't. Wikipedia also doesn't mention Dr Mario game watch, but the game watch guys do. And they seem pretty reliable. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:54, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- ahem. Can't tell if it's official, but it likely is. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:56, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- Again, Wikia is not a valid source themselves. They can have sources of their own, though, which can be valid.
- Looking more on the Game Watch Guys site, I found watches branded under "Nintendo". These include the three games, with images even, which is all I was asking for. 13:58, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
Well, Google images can show you the images of all of them except for super Mario bros 2. There's also a YouTube channel called sly dc who uploads videos of game watches and some of them I mentioned are on his channel. Unfortunately, information on the super Mario bros 2 watch is scarce and I can't seem to find any images on it. There might be websites that mention all the other watches. Take off the super Mario bros 2 watch only because the other games have images on Google and reliable sources. If I find anymore information about super Mario bros 2 watch and an image, I'll let you know. I better add other games. Lord Falafel (talk) 14:07, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
Maybe I should edit in extra platforms. It's not that bad. I did 1, I should do the others sometime soon. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:27, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
My Mario motors link is leading to the recurring Mario kart element, rather than the build for the unreleased Mario kart game of the same name and I think we should take super Mario world game watch off the toys category and give it a page of it's own. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:01, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- List_of_unreleased_media#Mario_Motors 16:08, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
Help me with project Atlantis and virtual boy. I messed up their libraries. Mario's castle is an unreleased game for an unreleased Nintendo console and because of my editing mistake, it says on the list of games organized by system that it was a virtual boy game and none of the virtual boy games are under the virtual boy anymore. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:20, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
I fixed the problem. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:27, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
What is Super Mario Bros. 3 (Mini Piccadilly)? 16:53, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
Another game in the toys category that I think should not be there. It's the arcade pachi slot game. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:10, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
I added the arcade game called Mario world without the super and the link leads to a place in super Mario RPG: legend of the seven stars. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:09, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
I did it. I added all the games. Lord Falafel (talk) 09:50, May 24, 2019 (EDT)
Now I added all the games. I think. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:01, June 28, 2019 (EDT)
Consecutive edits[edit]
Hello, please use the "Show preview" button, so you can iron out mistakes before saving rather than flooding the recent changes with lots of minor edits. Thanks! TheDarkStar 16:55, May 23, 2019 (EDT)

Is that how I make a gap in between the electronic tabletop pinball machines and the game watches? Just asking. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:39, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
I made the same mistake twice. This is what I have to type down in order for systems to have gaps. |} Lord Falafel (talk) 21:46, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
This reminder has been overturned by the MarioWiki staff. The original reminder can still be viewed. |

Please stop making unconstructive edits on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Now, I don’t want to get banned for a fake reminder, but you have been asked Not to flood the page, but you still do it. Please stop. If I made a mistake in this, please tell me. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 21:49, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
I will stop flooding it. But I can't help it if my memory is bad. I just need to make one more platform article with games and that will be it, unless I find more games and systems. I sincerely apologize for causing you so much trouble. I will edit that last platform tomorrow. I should slow down and take a break. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:21, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
I decided that I should write down 2 more platforms and the other platform has a game. But the one I mentioned first has lots of games. But I will do that tomorrow. And because I probably live in a distant part of the earth, probably thousands of miles away from all of you, time is different all around the world and tomorrow where I live is a certain amount of time away. But I will make those 2 edits tomorrow, one of which is pretty long. Oh and I'm appealing you. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:14, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
Fine, I won't appeal you. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:17, May 23, 2019 (EDT)
- *sigh* edit another artical then you can edit list of games 3 more times, article, 3 more times. Etc... But if you don’t... then a warning will be issued, also, go to the desktop version. Click edit at the top. Then you can edit the entire page, thanks. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:43, May 24, 2019 (EDT)
No need. My work here is done, unless I find more games and systems. There's nothing left for me to edit. You're not gonna give me a warning for not editing the page, are you? Not trying to be mean. Lord Falafel (talk) 09:49, May 24, 2019 (EDT)
- Edit one more time and I will, please, edit more things, it seems like you have great intel, please stay and help, just make sure to read the rules. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits) 09:51, May 24, 2019 (EDT)

Thank you for defending me. I'm going to make more edits. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:33, May 25, 2019 (EDT)
I think I fixed my last self mistakes. And right now, I don't have anymore information about missing games, systems or ports. If I ever get another notice, I want it to be genuine. But I hope I don't. I've been very helpful in adding missing content. I hope you're all grateful for that. I don't need any notices, warnings or bans. Without me, you guys wouldn't have this stuff covered. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:49, May 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Wow. That is incredibly rude.
- Thanks for finding more information on the games, though making the pages to provide sources and information should be the next step. Considering how simple the Game Watch titles are, I wonder if we can just make a large Game Watch article... 12:56, May 28, 2019 (EDT)
I think we can. And if we do, the super Mario bros 3 watch will have to lose it's own page and be with the other game watches on one page. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:03, May 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Actually, the way our coverage is regarding individual games is they all get their own pages. Super Mario Bros. 3 (game watch) has good information and shows an article can stand on its own, but I don't know if this can apply for the rest. I think a Game Watch article can be made, but going over the Game Watches generally with a list of them, not a collection of information on the games.
- This can probably be discussed at a later time, though, once a more solid idea is in place. 13:12, May 28, 2019 (EDT)
Please stop making several needless consecutive edits in a short timespan. Rather than saving these individually, these can be done in one edit. Mario JC 21:10, June 22, 2019 (EDT)
Well, I finished correcting the inaccurate release dates and adding all the available ones that originally weren't on the list of games organized by system. And they weren't needless. I could've wrote them all down in a memo pad and edited lots down on the list altogether, but that would've taken a long time and I wanted to get the work done quickly. As long as we keep this list neatly organized with no inaccurate, missing or jumbled release dates, we won't have to worry about any future minor edits being made. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:20, June 22, 2019 (EDT)
- "Edited lots down on the list altogether": That's exactly what I'm suggesting you should do instead. Yes they are unnecessary, because you could have done all of that in one go. It might take longer for you (tbh having the list somewhere and changing them all at once would take approximately the same amount of time), but as I said before, there's no rush in getting these up. Publishing too many edits that could have been saved with one bulk just floods the article's history page as well as the recent changes (especially since mobile edits cannot be filtered out), making navigation through these pages more difficult than if there weren't any. If this keeps up, you could receive a warning. Mario JC 21:42, June 22, 2019 (EDT)
But the reminder I got wasn't from an administrator. And the guy that sent it said it was a fake one. The next edits I make will be bigger. If there are more to edit. So, I have no reason to keep making these miniscule edits because I just finished. I apologize for causing so much trouble. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:04, June 22, 2019 (EDT)
- "Reminder wasn't from an admin"
- Any member can hand out a warning.
- "the guy that sent it said it was a fake one"
- Wait, what... ... ...Well, overturning that, I guess.
- Still, making your edits on a Word document for example is a good idea for a large scale edits. Just copy the page coding, edit it, and then paste it all back in one large edit. Or just edit the whole page in one go, using multiple tabs and Show preview to get around if you need to. 00:49, June 23, 2019 (EDT)
Yeah, that's a little difficult to do on a tablet. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:56, June 23, 2019 (EDT)
Then I guess I know nothing about technology. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:07, June 23, 2019 (EDT)
- Your tablet have a notepad/notes app on it? You could copy post it into that if it is an option. Just a suggestion though. Trig - 10:16, June 23, 2019 (EDT)
I have a better idea. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:19, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
RE:Adobe flash games[edit]
Thanks for notifying me about those games, but I have already documented them (Mario's Memory Madness, Wario's Whack Attack). -- KOOPA CON CARNE 09:56, May 29, 2019 (EDT)
I added 2 more Adobe flash games. If you have any more, please add them to the list of games organized by system. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:34, May 29, 2019 (EDT)
Re:Missing console[edit]
Intriguing, but do you know of anything Mario-related that was planned for it? If not, maybe it can be a footnote in the Virtual Boy article. LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:08, June 4, 2019 (EDT)
Sadly, I do not. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:14, June 4, 2019 (EDT)
- Then it looks like there isn't much we can say about it, but I've added a quick bit about its cancelation in favor of Virtual Boy in the production section of the Virtual Boy article. LinkTheLefty (talk) 22:12, June 4, 2019 (EDT)
That's all that matters. At least it's covered, now. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:28, June 4, 2019 (EDT)
RE:Browser or flash games[edit]
I will let you know, but so far I only know of the ones that were listed on Nintendo's site and those that show up in SKELUX's videos/database. And they are all already covered, sans a few that seem to have disappeared completely off the face of the Internet, leaving behind only their names (Wario: Master of Disguise Trivia, Yoshi's Egg Toss, Super Paper Mario Memory Match...) -- KOOPA CON CARNE 17:39, June 13, 2019 (EDT)
Minor edits[edit]
If you're fixing a small mistake, typo etc. please be sure to mark the edit as "minor" by ticking the "This is a minor edit" checkbox. Editing the whole page at once (clicking the "edit" tab at the top of the page) and looking out for fixes there (as opposed to finding more after already making an edit) also saves on dispersed individual edits like these. Mario JC 02:27, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Ok. Did you see what link did? Unbelievable. I worked so hard trying to perfect this page and what does he do? He reverts many of our edits like they're mistakes. This is coming from the same guy who I told about the Nintendo super visor. And he added that to the wiki. He did me a favor. If anyone on this wiki is in favor of his banning, say I. Lord Falafel (talk) 09:57, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- He doesn't get a ban for that. Anyone can change information on the wiki, though I agree it should've been discussed with you first. I also agree with him, though; games that weren't meant to have a full release shouldn't be on the list, better left to tech demos or List of unreleased media. And shampoo bottles? Those are even video games. 11:02, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Are they anywhere else on the wiki? Lord Falafel (talk) 11:10, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- Er, he has access to as many pages as you do. 11:12, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- I misunderstood your question. No, I do not believe the shampoo bottles are on the wiki, but they will probably fit here if anywhere. 12:17, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
If this happens again, I will be forced to take extreme measures. These are my edits and no one touches them. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:15, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- That's not how this works. There are no "measures" you can take for this. Anyone can make changes to your edits at any time. His removal was not done as an action against you, he's trying to clarify what it means for games to be on the list. 11:17, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Re:Too far[edit]
Ideas don't really belong on the list of games since they never officially entered a phase of production where they can actually be considered canceled. If we document every time a concept entered the head of a Nintendo employee or potential licensee (which would be fruitless), that would heavily bloat the existing list, and we already have a section on the list of unreleased media where known pitches neatly fit. Same goes for the tech demos - they aren't designed for the public and already have their own article. Your contributions are appreciated, but this basically goes with the rule of once and only once. I am curious what you meant by "Shampoo Bottle" however (note that the "list of games" is meant for video games). LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:25, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Look up sonic shampoo games on Google images and browse the gallery and select some images and click related images and maybe you'll find all 4 of those Mario and donkey kong shampoo bottle games Lord Falafel (talk) 14:51, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Re:Citation[edit]
Can you be more specific? LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:15, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
It's a Wikipedia page you can find if you use the Google search engine. There are a few sections in the page. One of them is called unreleased games. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:18, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- We don't rely on wikis as a source on its own, and looking it up, it's an unofficial homebrew, not an actual commissioned project. LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:25, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Re:Another page[edit]
You should ask an admin about that, but I'm pretty sure information about unofficial media can almost be an entirely different wiki itself. The closest is the list of Mario knockoffs acknowledged by Nintendo. LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:36, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
- You're not the first user to ask this question, and likely won't be the last. We aren't covering any unofficial material that isn't acknowledged by Nintendo, which includes bootlegs and second-hand products. 16:01, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Shampoo bottle[edit]
I looked these shampoo bottles up; they look more like toys than actual games to me, as far as the little "game" you play in the small screen on the bottle goes. If you find images and sources to prove their authenticity, then you may add them somewhere in the Toys or Miscellaneous merchandise gallery. Otherwise, I don't think they belong in the list of games or deserve to have their own articles, especially since they all work exactly the same... -- KOOPA CON CARNE 17:02, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
Tips[edit]
I see you're very enthusiastic about adding cancelled and obscure content on pages. That's all very nice but I gotta give you some pointers, because you need them.
- Make sure the content you add fits: LinkTheLefty's decision to revert your edit on the List of games was entirely justified: it's a list of video games, it's in the name. Adding ideas that were floating around the office without going any legitimate steps of production, tech demos and soap bar things with water games is outside the scope of the page. There's also multiple instances of you adding homebrew creations that had no involvement from Nintendo or its licensees, which is explicitely outside the wiki's coverage. Before adding content, make sure to properly determine it makes sense for it to be there on the page and the level of information that is appropriate for the page you're adding it to. A page like Mario (franchise) shouldn't have complete plot summaries and list of everythings in games for example, just concicse summaries of what's notable about it.
- Familiarize yourself with wiki markup: From your fumbling on the List of unreleased media, it's rather obvious you don't quite understand how to input wiki templates and how they're used. Everything in Category:Policies and Help:Contents will help you get up to speed.
- Make use of proper sourcing: When adding content, make sure hard details are sourced, and please use credible ones: justifying an edit with "This is what the Wikipedia page on X says" as you've done on many page is unacceptable. MarioWiki:Citations explains our policy, but really, I'd recommend looking at the infinity of online ressources regarding properly journalistic sourcing etiquette and what consitutes a good source. Trust me, it'll help.
- Fix your attitude: I get being upset when your edits are reverted or when there's a policy you disagree with. We've all been there. But flipping out and calling to ban another user for reverting one of your edit (as you did above) or making threats is not going to work, and you're not going to last long if you can't show a willingness to deal with others in good faith. Bragging statements like "[...] I've been very helpful in adding missing content. I hope you're all grateful for that. I don't need any notices, warnings or bans. Without me, you guys wouldn't have this stuff covered. aren't going to endear you to other editors either. Being protective of your additions is especially silly, because, well, nothing you do here belongs to you (and if you don't know why I'm saying that, I recommend looking at the helpful link at the bottom of every page).
Really, you shouldn't make it your mission to "popularize" stuff: adding legit stuff that's not yet on the wiki and putting it everywhere applicable is dandy, but generally, making sure your additions are of a high level quality and actually make sense to be where you put them should be priortized over being The First to add something to the internet. With all that said, happy editing. --Glowsquid (talk) 22:20, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
About the Mario ice capades summary, all I wanted to do was make sure I didn't write 2 or 3 lines. It's because I'm autistic that all of this is happening. I have hormonal and mental imbalances. I apologize for my strange behavior, but I don't wanna let every Mario fan down. If I had a computer, it'd be easier to credit my sources, but I'll try to improve. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:14, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Another list[edit]
We already have Category:Games for that.
Re. your post on citations on Glowsquid's talk: What do you mean by "can't"? Mario JC 01:50, June 16, 2019 (EDT)
- It's pretty much impossible to cite my sources on a mobile device Lord Falafel (talk) 01:56, June 16, 2019 (EDT)
- I need help from people to cite my references. I have to go to bed. Lord Falafel (talk) 02:30, June 16, 2019 (EDT)
- Again, you're capable and responsible for citing it yourself; you can't have other editors obligated to do it for you out of unwillingness to do so on your own. Simply follow this[1] format (if there's no author or date, you can remove those) as outlined on MarioWiki:Citations, and if there's anything tripping you up, you can ask. I clicked one of the red links and read all the tips I need to follow to make a page. I can't do it. I'm sorry, but it's too hard for me. You're going to have to find someone else to make pages for all the games I added to the list of games organized by system that have red links. They can find the pictures and sources and information if they read my "missing games" discussion I created for the discussion board for the list of games organized by system from me to you. I have failed porplemontage, I have failed linkthelefty, I have failed Mario jc, I have failed you and I have failed the entire Mario fan base. I feel so stupid. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:24, June 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Whoa whoa, you haven't failed anything! Or anyone. Were you trying to please someone?
- It's a little daunting at first, definitely. This was my first page creation, lot of mistakes here. You can work on as much as you can, maybe even in a personal sandbox.
- But if you don't feel like you're up to it, that's perfectly fine! Can always try again later. 20:05, June 17, 2019 (EDT)

Reminder[edit]
Please stop not sourcing edits on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You're still not sourcing your info on obscure material, not even mentioning anything in the summary. You might know about it, but many readers won't - that's why it's important to have a source to let them know it's legitimate. There's no rush at all getting the info up so please start citing references for your edits (saying where you got it from in the summary alone is not enough). Any that isn't will be removed. Mario JC 00:41, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
Please tell me which pages you're specifically talking about and I will do my best to cite my sources. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:54, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
- The lesser-known games you added to List of games (i.e. the red-linked ones besides the Play Nintendo ones) would be a good start. Mario JC 07:25, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
I can't directly give them all to you. My linking skills are in their infancy. But on my talk page, there's a box called RE: something urgent. Open it and you'll find links to all the games borp archived on arcade coverage on the Mario boards. There will be lots of information for you there regarding those games. Lord Falafel (talk) 09:46, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
I did source many games on the discussion board for the list of games organized by system and the discussion those games and sources are in is called missing games. Lord Falafel (talk) 10:14, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
Alex95 is going to look at those electronic pinball games and electronic water games when he can, so please don't delete anything. Not even the arcade games. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:25, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
RE: About to quit[edit]
I... honestly don't see how this is stressful at all. All you need to do is put a link to where you found the information between tags. While they are more suited to the game's pages themselves, they will work on the List of games page.
I'm out of time to talk, I have to get to a dentist appointment. I'll say more when I return. 11:41, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
Okay, back.
The thing about your posts on Talk:List of games is that it's incredibly lengthy and already covers some information that we have. If you want to add a list of sites you found the information on, as in actual links (aside from the forum posts I linked to above), I will look through them and help place them where needed. 14:07, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
I cannot send you links unless I'm looking at them. I tried and I cannot do it on my Android. I'm not able to save the links, either because I don't have a preloaded clipboard. Thanks, Samsung. Thanks for that. So, I can't do anything about that. I'm sick of this link crap. It's gotta stop. It's getting us nowhere and the only way I know how to send you all those games is by giving you the specifics and then you have to do a Google search. I'll tell you what to search. Deal? Lord Falafel (talk) 14:52, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
- We only require them because this is very obscure information and we need to see some validity. Saying where to go will work, and I'll see what I can find. 14:55, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
The super Mario bros electronic water game and the donkey kong electronic water game will show up on an Amazon page if you look up the company that made them: play2O. You can find super Mario bros electronic pinball on eBay if you look up super Mario bros electronic pinball. Same goes for if you search super Mario 64 electronic pinball. It will also be on eBay. Same goes for the electronic pinball machine called donkey kong country. It will also be on eBay. And dkvine.tumblr.com. However, donkey kong electronic pinball (without the country) will be on Flickr.com and you can find both donkey kong pinball machines on Google images. But the super Mario world electronic pinball machine will show up if you search super Mario world pinball playtime worthpoint. You will then be shown a result that has the super Mario world electronic pinball machine on a website called worthpoint and it will incorrectly label the release date as 1988. Click that link and once you are in that website and looking at that machine, scroll down the page to find a related page in the website that has another picture and article on super Mario world electronic pinball while you are still in the worthpoint website and click on it and it will show you the correct release date: 1992. I'll give you the arcade game information on the games borp was ignorant of in a separate message. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:13, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Okay, that sounds good. I'll look around for the information when I can :) 15:20, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Okay, I found most of the ones you mentioned, I put links to all of them at the top of my sandbox. Only one I couldn't find was the Super Mario 64 pinball.
- However, these all seem like toys rather than actual arcade titles. The pinball machines, maybe, but not the Dynatech Play20 things. I can't even tell if those are official or not.
- But these things do exist, that's for sure. I'll see what kind of references I can add. 17:19, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
Keep looking for the super Mario 64 electronic pinball machine. It's there. And we have a picture of it on the toys gallery as well as a picture of the super Mario bros electronic pinball machine. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:35, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
I found one on Amazon. Check it out. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:38, June 19, 2019 (EDT)
re:Question[edit]
I don't want to be rude but that's a rather odd question to ask. That user hasn't edited since June 7 and none of his recent edits seem to be deal with any Mario medal game so it's difficult for me to figure out what you're talking about exactly, or why you're asking me the question instead of perusing the thread you were already linked to yourself. --Glowsquid (talk) 21:13, June 24, 2019 (EDT)

How can i help you? -- FanOfYoshi 00:48, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
First, can you look up @yamapen3 Mario on Google images and see if you can find an image of a Mario kiddie ride that's cape Mario and send it to me, please? Lord Falafel (talk) 00:53, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Yes. Now I need you to select that image again, scroll down and click the blue wording that says related images. There might be a close up image of the front of that same ride in the related images. I say might be because sometimes it's not there and hard to find. But if you're lucky enough, you'll find it. It's on Yahoo Japan and the title of the image will partially be in Japanese. The part that's not in Japanese will say cocolulujp2000. If you find that image, please send it to me and I'll see if it's the right one. If you don't find it, look for it again the next day. If you still can't find it, keep searching daily. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:04, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Wrong image. It's a more close up image and it has no anime girls on it. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:10, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- Then how about you just look for it yourself? Don't beg everyone to do it. -- FanOfYoshi 01:21, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Because I don't have a computer. I can't copy links unless I'm looking at them. Please. I am asking you generously to do this. Please help me. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:23, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Never give up, never surrender. Always keep trying. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:31, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- How about this: You look at the link, you write it on a paper, and then you're done. -- FanOfYoshi 01:32, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
I can't look at links on the pages themselves on Android. Please help me with this. I can think of no one else to look to. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:36, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- Can we stop this conversation? I will find it for you. -- FanOfYoshi 01:42, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- I give you 2 options:
- 1: I give you this:
- 2: I make a screenshot of this YouTube video, and crop Mario from the screenshot.
Which one you want? -- FanOfYoshi 01:50, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Explain number 2 a little bit more, please. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:53, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- I said that i'll make a screenshot of the video, and crop out Mario from the screenshot (with the background he is in). Okay? -- FanOfYoshi 01:58, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Yes. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:59, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- At which moment specifically you want the video be screencapped? I want to screencap it at 0:23 (seconds of the video), but i'm not sure which moment of the video to do it. -- FanOfYoshi 02:02, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
0:58. Lord Falafel (talk) 02:07, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- There you go. -- FanOfYoshi 02:18, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Thank you very much. On the discussion on Alex95's talk page called sources, he sent me the link to another Mario kiddie ride I found. It's called super Mario seesaw takeover and like tobebe Mario, it was released exclusively in Japan by Banpresto. Because he showed me the url to the page of the site that has it, I think the link I'm gonna send to you won't be broken. Please cover this image as well. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/q165133918 Lord Falafel (talk) 02:25, June 26, 2019 (EDT)

Google images. Please screencap it. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:02, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Bad username? What do you mean? I'm the first user to find this machine. Please help me. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:42, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
I never said my friend sent me anything. What friends? I don't have any internet friends. I found all this by myself. @yamapen3 is just a Twitter account that I found by chance while looking up Japanese Mario arcade games. They're not my friends. They probably don't even know me. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:48, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Please reply to me. If I did something wrong, let me know. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:49, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
- In response to your message on my page, you are and you aren't doing anything wrong. It's great that you found obscure information and are wanting to help document it, but it's taking up a lot of time for others to find and people have other things to do. The fact that you don't have a way to copy links yourself and are continuously making reference mistakes are causing the motivation of others to find these things to drop.
- Again, since you know where to look, you can wait until you have access to a proper device that can copy urls and edit easier. The information you found will still be there most likely. It's not that we don't want to help, it's the constant "Keep looking"s, "Just do this for me"s, and overall vagueness.
- I'm sorry. I know at this point, you can't do this alone. But it's also difficult for others to work with vague instructions. Try to record where you found them on paper or computer document, and come back to them once you have a proper device. A lot was done already, but it's been difficult to keep it up. 18:13, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Well, some of the work has been done. FanOfYoshi created an image file for me for tobetobe Mario and trig jegman did the same with that Mario and yoshi seesaw. I think I'm gonna put them in list of merchandise. I can't think of any other place to put them and they don't count as games, so they'll go with the merch. One of the references will be broken. That will be the reference for tobetobe Mario and the reference will be that video by digitalcaster. Someone will need to fix it. I'm sorry for asking all of you to help me, but I need to get this stuff off the ground ASAP. And I'm not gonna wait until I own a computer. That will take too long. This stuff has been obscure long enough. I have the png and the jpg. And I mean no disrespect to glowsquid, but he's wrong. I should make it my mission to popularize obscure stuff. I've been dreaming about this since 2015. And I'm not gonna stop until nothing can become obscure anymore. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:25, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
I'm sorry if i'm making late response's. Sometimes real life get's in the way. P.S That picture of Mario is very amuseing LOL=). YoshiFan08(Talk)(Edits)

File created[edit]
File can be found at File:Super Mario Yoshi Ride.jpg (and if you move it, let me know to fix my page here). If it weren't for the fact that I've seen you flinging yourself everywhere to get this stuff, I'd have thought this was some form of malicious intent because this computer bombed hard trying to get to the page. No idea how to categorize or copyright it though, so please do that as soon as you can (use to do so) Trig - 17:59, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Thank you very much. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:02, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
Alex95 mentioned that I've been pushing people to do difficult tasks concerning finding obscure Mario stuff without being specific of where I got my sources or where to get that stuff. Well, I thought about telling them more specific details. I need you to please help me with 2 more non games and then 3 games that are on the list of games organized by system and have broken references. The non games first. They are the Mario and yoshi versions of super Mario ride, which are officially licensed battery cars with steering wheels and no roofs. They were made by Banpresto and they are kinda small, so they can hold kids. There are seats in these battery cars. These can be found on Google images. The Mario version is a kind of square looking battery car. It's yellow and it has a small Mario figure on the top and pointing. On the front are a white circle and a red M in the middle. The yoshi version is green because it's yoshi's body. On the machine's left side are a galoomba, a toad head with a candy cane-like patterned mushroom as the top part of the toad's head and growing out of that top is a white mushroom with red speckles. The way I figured out to make it easy for people to find? These battery cars will be on Google images. If you have the color setting to choose which color images you want to see, click red for the Mario one and green for the yoshi one. Try to get images of those battery cars with no anime girls on them. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:42, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
@yamapen3 Mario. Look that up on Google images. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:42, June 26, 2019 (EDT)
@yamapen3 Mario will have those 2 battery cars. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:43, June 26, 2019 (EDT)

Hi Lorl Falafel. Are you excited for Super Mario Maker 2. It's coming out tommorow. Woo-Hoo! YoshiFan08(Talk)(Edits)
I'm only interested in the main series titles. Can you help me? There's an easy way to find those battery cars. Just use the color option to look at certain images depending on their color. You need to use the Google search engine and type in @yamapen3. Next, go to images and look for 2 battery cars. Red for the Mario battery car and green for the yoshi battery car. If you see a yellow car with a tiny Mario figure on top, that's the Mario one. The green one is shaped like yoshi. Please help me with this. RE:Help[edit]
What do you have in mind, specifically? (T|C) 13:22, June 27, 2019 (EDT)
Banpresto was a company that had a strong relationship with Nintendo and under their license, made many toys, games and amusement vehicles. 2 of those vehicles are called battery cars and they came out in 1993 exclusively in Japan. They are both called super Mario ride and there are 2 versions: a Mario version and a yoshi version. There is a Twitter account called @yamapen3 and they have posted many obscure arcade games and other stuff. Their posts can be found on Twitter and Google images. They also have a YouTube channel that I can't read. What I need you to do first is use the Google search engine to look up @yamapen3, go to images, click the color option for red and look for a yellow square shaped car with a small Mario figure built on the top and pointing up. The car will also have a white circle in the front and in that white circle will be a red capital M. But beware. Many times @yamapen3 will post their anime girl profile pictures on their finds, which makes it hard to see the full machine of whatever they paste those characters over. If an image of the battery car I described to you shows up with those characters pasted on it, go past that picture, scroll down and you will find that same car with no pasted characters on it. Show it to me on this talk page and I'll let you know if it's the right picture. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:52, June 27, 2019 (EDT)
- Sounds straightforward enough. I'll do it at my earliest convenience. (T|C) 13:58, June 27, 2019 (EDT)
In case something happens, I want to get the yoshi battery car out to you as fast as possible. It can be found on Google images if you once again search for @yamapen3 on Google images, but this time click the color option for green and look for a kind of round car that's yoshi's body and on the car's left are a galoomba, a toad head with a candy cane-like patterned top and a white mushroom with red speckles growing out of that top. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:06, June 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Hi. Sorry I'm late about this, but is this what you're looking for? The description you gave me doesn't quite match up, but it has Mario regardless, so I don't know...
- P.S.: The anime girl images are clearly Katie Forester (the one with the ponytail) and Lily Adams (the one with the glasses), both from the Yo-kai Watch franchise.
- (T|C) 01:12, July 5, 2019 (EDT)
No, it's not the one. I am aware however, who the anime girls are. Keep searching. It's shaped like a square and it's yellow in color. It has a white circle and a red M in the middle. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:23, July 5, 2019 (EDT)

I have a question for you. Do you have the color setting option on Google images? Just wondering. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:28, June 28, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Arcade games, and "temporary ban"[edit]
First of all, you don't make the rules here. Even if this was meant to be a joke, it's off-putting for other editors that see the summary and make legitimate edits. If you were being serious, that should be ran through a proposal first, not something you suddenly decide to enforce. I don't know why you decided to remove information without talking to anyone about it and then claim that anyone adding it back should be blocked, but you don't even have the power to place a block on anyone.
Second of all, in regards to the removed information, it stays. It is placed on the List of games alongside the List of unreleased media because we have enough information on the game that was actually meant to be released. There's no problem with showing those games there, as they are different from tech demos and pitches, which would otherwise fit on the List of unreleased media or Tech Demo pages. You do not remove that much content without discussing it with the community first.
Third... Fine, I'll give searching another go, but not today or this weekend. Maybe on Monday. 20:46, July 4, 2019 (EDT)
Porplemontage told me unreleased games should not be on the list of games. I was following his orders. I'm ok with Monday. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:51, July 4, 2019 (EDT)
- ...I completely forgot about that discussion, I apologize. Still, that really should be a community discussion. They can fit - or are already - on the List of unreleased media, but it's... actually not very apparent that list exists on the List of games page. If you think something needs fixing here, making a proposal is the way to go, but I don't think canceled content should be outright removed from that page. 20:59, July 4, 2019 (EDT)
Well, porplemontage removed it all. If you have time to look at those arcade games, I'll give you some details of what they look like. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:04, July 8, 2019 (EDT)
Again, this is not up to you. Continue saying stuff like this and you will receive a warning yourself. Also, I fixed the reference. 16:12, July 11, 2019 (EDT)
Thank you. If Mario jc wasn't such a bully telling me that I can't add it without a picture and then removing it, then I'd be just fine. But I won't try to enforce the rules anymore. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:21, July 11, 2019 (EDT)
- Also, MarioJc is not a bully, he is just doing his job, he is a nice guy, he has helped me a ton. [-]€40 vv@(talk · edits)

Well, we don't have to worry about the Bandai chocolate because Mario jc readded it. Almost everything you sent me is exactly the one. I can't find some on Google images. The Mario Doritos you sent me aren't the correct ones. Here's all the food on this talk page you should add: both of the milka pictures, the donkey kong Dr and diet Dr pepper, both Mario colas, the red nosed ice cream, the Lunchables pizza, the multivitamins, the Zaini fruit snacks, the Frubes, the Danone yogurt, the super Mario bros 3 fruit snacks and the honey cookies. I'll look for more Mario food, Mario toys, clothes, sheet music and more. As for the futura eggs, just put the figures in gallery: figurines. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:23, July 8, 2019 (EDT)

Super Mario bros 3 chocolate chip swirl cookies by Salerno. That same company made a maze on paper and based it around super Mario bros 3. I'll put that maze in the list of publications. Also, I looked up super Mario Coca-Cola on Google images and found the super Mario cola without the coca alongside other Mario sodas. So, there are about 3 of those sodas in 1 series. I also found a game boy advance gummy candy container. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:07, July 8, 2019 (EDT)
Mario jc said the maze can be added to a gallery. I'm not sure which one, though. When you get done with all those food products I sent you, we can decide where the super Mario bros 3 maze by Salerno should go. Here's the link. P.S. I was only able to know this url because Mario jc sent it to me. I can't see them on their own websites. https://twitter.com/VGArtAndTidbits/status/933308447600398337 Lord Falafel (talk) 09:52, July 9, 2019 (EDT)
- Ok. I'll try to get around to it in the next few days. --Super Mario Fan 67 (T•C•S) 16:16, July 9, 2019 (EDT)
Are you still interested in finding all the food items, merchandise, etc on my sandbox? Lord Falafel (talk) 10:36, September 27, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Question[edit]
I don't understand. What is there that wouldn't already fit in any of these? Mario JC 05:40, July 10, 2019 (EDT)
A lot. I'm not sure if Toadette the archiver is still helping me trying to find those battery cars. And of course there's way too much merchandise to count, but super Mario fan 67 is helping me with that part. Alex95 might be helping me with those 3 remaining arcade games on the list of games organized by system. But if something goes wrong, we need a place to house that information. A list. What should we call it? Lord Falafel (talk) 10:03, July 10, 2019 (EDT)
- What you could do is create a sandbox page at User talk:Lord Falafel/sandbox and put your list there so you can organize everything, then as we find images for stuff on there and when it’s ready, we transfer it over to the gallery. I think that would’ve a good idea as it would allow us to easily see what all we are missing and what we need images for without interfering with mainspace pages. --Super Mario Fan 67 (T•C•S) 10:44, July 10, 2019 (EDT)
I created it. P.S. the Mario and Yoshi versions of super Mario ride are battery cars. Toadette the archiver has been sent the details on my talk page. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:28, July 10, 2019 (EDT)
Italics[edit]
Please remember to italicize game and publication titles. This is done by placing two apostrophes (not quotation marks) on both sides of the title, outside of any links. For example, Super Mario Bros.
becomes Super Mario Bros. TheDarkStar 11:05, July 12, 2019 (EDT)
Sorry. I found merchandise on wikia. It could be real. We should bring in what could be official. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:08, July 12, 2019 (EDT)

Elaborate? Niiue - Who has lost his tail? 13:11, July 12, 2019 (EDT)
One of the entries in the other videos section is called Super Mario Club and it has a reference; a video on YouTube by kiddo cabbusses's unpoplar obscurities. I need you to look up that exact video and screencap the video's title screen (not thumbnail of the video) at 0:14 seconds before the ship from star fox appears. The title screen will have Japanese text. Originally, the text will be in boxes that Mario pushes around. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:19, July 12, 2019 (EDT)

I did pay my respects. And where are you? Banned from the wiki, because of your actions. You're not qualified to be one of us. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:09, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
Warning[edit]
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (disruptive behavior) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Your message above was incredibly rude, as well as your message here. The latter message insulted a bureaucrat, calling him a "bully" when he was just doing his job. You also removed the Displaytitle and rules on HEROWALUIGI (talk)'s talk page to, and I quote, "give him a taste of his own medicine". Continue with this behavior and you will be blocked from editing by an admin, most likely. TheDarkStar 23:38, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
I understand your frustration with that user, but comments like "you're not qualified to be one of us" are very rude, and your statement comes across as arrogant. Please stop doing this. Also btw, I'm sorry I haven't gotten your images yet. I've been pretty busy with my Super Mario Galaxy 2 project, and I'll hopefully get around to it next week. Sorry to keep you waiting. --Super Mario Fan 67 (T•C•S) 23:41, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
You're right. I also insulted link the lefty once, a while back. I'm a terrible person. I'm sorry. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:43, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
Just beaten to the warning but I will post my intended message anyway. You've been reminded about making discourteous comments already. Your comment above to HEROWALUIGI was very rude, and your recent behaviour both on his and TheDarkStar's talk pages directly go against what's outlined under "insert themselves into disciplinary measures being taken by the admins." on MarioWiki:Courtesy, which is just as bad and the sort of behaviour that earns you a warning yourself. Drop the attitude. Mario JC 23:43, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
Don't worry, super Mario fan 67. I'm a pretty patient person. If you're busy, that's alright. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:44, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
I'll drop it. I won't do it again. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:46, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
- It's alright, and please don't think you're an awful person; you're really not. Accepting responsibility for your actions and moving on from them (which you did) makes you a great person. I know you have good intentions, and as long as you don't let stuff like that happen again, everything will be okay! --Super Mario Fan 67 (T•C•S) 00:09, July 14, 2019 (EDT)
Thanks. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:16, July 14, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Super Mario Club[edit]
Your messages always seem to suggest you're not capable of doing something, yet this is the same thing you said about referencing before you started doing it. Any device regardless of whether it's on mobile or computer should still be able to upload. Have you not tried Special:Upload yet? Mario JC 21:03, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
No. It's not for brains like mine. It's too complicated. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:13, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
Plus, I'm terrible at referencing. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:14, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
- ...no? Special:Upload works like this: you save an image you find, you set "Destination filename" to whatever you'd like it to be called, you type a summary in the aboutfile, you categorize it, and you select a license from the drop-down menu. And you can indent comments by putting a colon (:) at the start of your comment. TheDarkStar 22:29, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
That's probably for smart and educated people who went to college and stayed for a few years. Not me. As much as I'd like to, I can't. But hopefully we won't need to worry about that if I find more people to help me upload images to this site. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:37, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
- Thing is, people may get tired of constantly being told to upload images for you. Try hold-tapping on an image to open up the mobile equivalent of the right-click menu. "Save image" should be one of the options there. Then follow the instructions I listed, and you'll be good to go! TheDarkStar 22:41, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
- It's also worth noting that this insistence you're "terrible at everything" is going to wear on people's nerves fast - it doesn't take a college degree to figure out the basic aspects of a wiki, and whether you intend it or not, you may come across as abusing people's goodwill. -- Lord G. matters. 23:02, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
I thought people helped each other on the wiki, but I guess not. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:11, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
- Yes, people don't bother helping each other on this wiki, which is totally the reason we're trying to help you figure out how to upload images on this site and demonstrate how simple it is.
This is more or less demonstrating that thing I was just talking about. -- Lord G. matters. 23:15, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
Titles[edit]
You don't need to italicise company names like Nintendo or Capcom.
Also, with article titles that have identifiers like "Super Mario Bros. (Game & Watch)", we don't need to show the part in brackets, so you just add a vertical bar before the square brackets: Super Mario Bros. (Game & Watch)
(which becomes Super Mario Bros.) Mario JC 21:07, July 16, 2019 (EDT)
Ok. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:02, July 16, 2019 (EDT)
Indentation[edit]
Hello, you can indent comments by putting a colon (:) before a comment (:TheDarkStar becomes
- TheDarkStar).
You
- can
- use
- more colons
- use
for further indentation. Let me know if I need to clarify. Thanks! TheDarkStar 18:54, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
What's the purpose of this? Lord Falafel (talk) 19:00, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- So it's immediately noticeable that you're continuing a discussion. TheDarkStar 19:01, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
Is hitting the space bar an option, too? Lord Falafel (talk) 19:04, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Nope. You ident to follow a conversation, and separate your comment with a line gap to make a different conversation that is still related to the talk page's sub-section. So hitting the space bar means that you are making a different conversation. Doomhiker (talk) 19:05, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Like this? Lord Falafel (talk) 19:06, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Like that. Each indented comment should normally have one more colon than the last one. TheDarkStar 19:08, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Not really. You cannot a line gap between comments. Indented comments need to be only a single space under the last comment, with no space in between. Having a space in between makes it so the indentation does not work. Check the page's code to see how it works. Doomhiker (talk) 19:09, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Like that. Each indented comment should normally have one more colon than the last one. TheDarkStar 19:08, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
I can't read code. I'm having a problem understanding the code as it is with the box of Mario kart games. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:12, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Oh and something else, my memory isn't the best. So, I might forget to add a colon a lot. Like I just did. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:13, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- You see code every single time you edit. You use code in every single link. this is what I mean. Anyways, don't put yourself down, you will get it eventually, and everyone forgets sometime. Doomhiker (talk) 19:13, July 17, 2019 (EDT)
- Yeah, just try to practice it, no one will think badly of you for forgetting occasionally. -- Lord G. matters. 14:57, July 18, 2019 (EDT) 00:55, July 18, 2019 (EDT)
Last warning[edit]
This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki. If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
This was very rude and utterly unacceptable. You've been warned about discourteous behavior like this before, so I highly recommend reading over the courtesy policy. Continue this behavior and you will be blocked. TheDarkStar 18:02, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
But that was at a different person. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:05, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Doesn't matter, it's unacceptable regardless of who you direct it at. TheDarkStar 18:06, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
They were uploading false information and copying Wikipedia, a site that many of you say is unreliable. I'm just trying to maintain the page. I didn't intend to be offensive. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:08, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
Well, I got beat to this.
Regardless of who it was direct at, you've been warned for this behavior before. It was a minor thing even, nothing to be threatening someone with a block over. In fact, you corrected this information yourself earlier. Please do not tell anyone they will be blocked in edit summaries. 18:10, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
But that wasn't enough. More editing needed to be done to that list. And it's not like I threatened his life. And why did he tell me there weren't inaccuracies? Lord Falafel (talk) 18:13, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- If the list needs to be fixed, in can be done without saying someone needs blocked. 18:16, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- In addition, the point of Wikipedia being 'unreliable' is that it's a wiki like this one, and thus shouldn't be cited as a source. Copying lists from it is a different matter altogether, one that (as Alex indicated) can be solved without the imperious tone demonstrated, much less claims that are false themselves (I went digging and turns out, the Nelsonic Game Watch does in fact have those games that you removed from the list). Don't presume bad faith where there might not be any. -- Lord G. matters. 18:21, July 19, 2019 (EDT) 18:20, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
I'm not a good person. Look at all the trouble I caused. It doesn't matter if I apologize. I cannot redeem myself. This wiki needs good people. Not individuals like me. Good members don't get reminders, warnings or last warnings. Unless they learn from their mistakes, which I can't seem to. I'm not qualified to be one of you. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:23, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- That's not true. You are a good person, and just because you went a bit over the top on a fan-wiki does not change that. You did not cause that much trouble. There are plenty of good members that got many reminders, warnings, and last warnings: some even got blocked. You can learn from your mistakes. Other users learned from their mistakes after being blocked, even. You are qualified. Please stop putting yourself down. Doomhiker (talk) 18:29, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- You do good work, and you can improve. The biggest thing to make sure of is that you don't try to assume more power than you actually have. Try talking things out first on a talk page, or ask someone else before you use stronger phrases. Especially, don't make threats you can't carry out. Most of the higher-ups are probably not going to block just because you ask. You need to provide specific proof as to why, and such proof needs to actually follow policy. Secondarily and personally, if I were you, I would take a little break, sorta refresh your mind and all, and come back with individualistic and smaller scale edits and such. This might make things feel a little less stressful, which this seems to somewhat bring you. Trig - 18:37, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
Lord grammaticus, I said false information and games with no written pages. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:24, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Five minutes of searching confirms that most of the games you removed (which were Game Watch games) do in fact exist, that we don't have pages on them is no real indicator of anything. Case in point: Super Mario Race. And the fact that we DON'T have an article yet means it's an opportunity. -- Lord G. matters. 18:35, July 19, 2019 (EDT) 18:35, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
And why are we a fan-wiki? Why aren't we getting attention from Nintendo and Rareware? Why aren't we a subsidiary? Why haven't they made an encyclopedia on our hard work? Are we worthless to them? Does our editing mean nothing? I want this wiki to be here for a purpose. One that gets published. Not a site that just exists. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:35, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- ...yeah, I'm sensing an excess of ambition and, frankly, completely unrealistic expectations on your part. We do this because we enjoy it and because we want to be a good source of information for the franchise. MarioWiki's already considered the best such wiki in that regard, we don't need to be a subsidiary to be as effective as we've been. Where is this even coming from? -- Lord G. matters. 18:40, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
- "Why haven't they made an encyclopedia on our hard work?"
- They did. It caused a lot of problems. Furthermore, there'd probably be a lot of both copyright issues and internal member drama should Nintendo actually try to do something. Trig - 18:47, July 19, 2019 (EDT)
Whatever that was on TheDarkStar's talk page[edit]
I'm not entirely sure what this paragraph means. HEROWALUIGI broke rules and was banned for it, yes, what about it? And I never removed Virtual Boy Wario Land from the List of games (in fact, it's still there), and I'm well aware it's a released game. The level of communication here is terrible. People are trying to help you, but your own limitations and unwillingness to get things done yourself are making things difficult for others to work with. Especially with the several directions and descriptions you've given me, it is still difficult and time-consuming to find what it is you are talking about.
Definitely go back over your Tips section Glowsquid told you about, especially when it comes to your attitude. People are willing to help, but your claims of being unable to do simple things yourself is getting - or already are - tedious, I'm pretty sure even to yourself. If you still want to help, but can't edit properly on your device after this long (I don't know what device that is, everything should come with some kind of copying ability nowadays), then find a device that works. 19:39, July 21, 2019 (EDT)
I meant virtual boy wario land for the 3DS. And I'm using a Samsung tablet. If they make or have made a mobile device that automatically reads urls and file names the way computers do, I want that. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:43, July 21, 2019 (EDT)
- Editing from tablets isn't much more difficult than a 'regular' computer, at the least not in my experience. -- Lord G. matters. 19:46, July 21, 2019 (EDT)
- What is tripping you up exactly? I have the same device and for any website (for any device), you just highlight the URL, tap/hold it and select "Copy". (If you're on the YouTube app, click "Share" on the video you're sourcing and select "Copy Link".) After copying, tap/hold where you want to add it and select "Paste". Mario JC 01:12, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
I haven't had much experience with that. Plus, I want every editor on this wiki to help one another. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:59, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
- That doesn't mean you can't do it. There's a difference between seeking assistance from other users and deliberately asking other users to do things for you that you're capable of doing yourself. The whole idea of the wiki in itself has always been editors helping each other. Mario JC 02:33, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
Re: Mario Bros. ports[edit]
The ports exist for both systems, they're listed on this page. "Abandonware" is completely different from "cancelled", since the former at least means it came out at some point, the latter means "planned for release but never made it". -- Lord G. matters. 03:08, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
There's a difference between Mario bros and Mario bros special. Lord Falafel (talk) 08:16, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
Significant, granted, but I'm not seeing anything else alluding to cancelled ports yet. -- Lord G. matters. 09:31, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
Re:Play Nintendo games[edit]
That's great! I work on pages I plan to make in my own sanbox, which has a lot in it at the moment. One thing: the names of the Play Nintendo games' articles don't use their name that appears in the box that links to them, but rather the page's name on the tab it's in (For example: Not Do you know how to party?, but Super Mario Party Fun Trivia Quiz). Otherwise, good job on expanding the List of games! --DeepFriedCabbage 09:06, July 22, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Other videos[edit]
They're still dead links. No pages currently exist on the English Wikipedia. Mario JC 21:58, July 28, 2019 (EDT)
Please tell me you put in the actual TV show Lord Falafel (talk) 22:05, July 28, 2019 (EDT)
Images[edit]
When adding non-gallery images, please remember to place them in thumbnails, otherwise they appear in their original file size on the page in desktop view (e.g.
, with "|thumb" at the end). Help:Image has more details on adding images to articles.
Also, only titles for games, series, books etc. are italicised, not character names. So "Mario" when referring to the series is formatted this way; "Mario" the character is not. Mario JC 21:17, August 2, 2019 (EDT)
Watch this video[edit]

I was actually going to add the toys from chadtronic's weird Mario toys video, but I wasn't sure if they were official. But thank you for sending me this video. I got educated some more and I got a good laugh. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:06, August 3, 2019 (EDT)
Regarding your choice of sources[edit]
Have you considered extending the depth of your search besides grabbing what seems to be a random result from YouTube? Google should have at least a handful of more applicable sources for whatever it is you're looking for at a given moment. -- Lord G. matters. 20:34, August 3, 2019 (EDT)
I do. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:36, August 3, 2019 (EDT)
- Also, wouldn't it be much easier to just paste the actual URL of the pages you're referencing instead of just their title? -- Lord G. matters. 23:08, August 3, 2019 (EDT)
I can't. It's too hard. If I had a computer, it'd be easier. Once I get one, I'll be a much better editor. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:26, August 3, 2019 (EDT)
- I know it's a bit after the fact, but I'm pretty sure that isn't gonna fly anymore. If you can copy the title of a video or article, you're more than capable of copying the LINK to it and pasting it there at minimum, if not copying both in some manner. I'm trying to phrase this in the least inflammatory manner possible, but there's a certain point where it's going to feel like you're not really trying to apply the minimum effort being asked of you - which, contrary to what you may or may not believe, isn't all that much. And I think we've hit that point. -- Lord G. matters. 03:06, August 4, 2019 (EDT)
If I can't see urls, I can't copy them. It's very hard without a computer. All I do with YouTube videos is write down the names onto the super Mario wiki. I don't copy and paste. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:33, August 18, 2019 (EDT)
- To copy URLs for videos, hold tap on the links and then tap on "Copy link address" in the menu that comes up. Then hold tap again wherever you want to paste it in the editor, and select "Paste" in the menu that comes up. I hope this was helpful. TheDarkStar 16:39, August 18, 2019 (EDT)
- I'm finding it hard to believe your device cannot see URLs. I have a Samsung tablet and I can (every device should) and you already know how to copy YouTube links. Can you screen-capture your browser (hold the power and home buttons) and upload the screenshot?
- Also going to need proof for that claim on the traffic safety video. Mario JC 22:20, August 18, 2019 (EDT)
Ok. It's gaijillionaire's video just to let you know. I didn't know if you knew or not. Go to that video's comment section and look for my comment. It will start like "which library was it"? Lord Falafel (talk) 23:14, August 18, 2019 (EDT)
Re:Difficulty[edit]
I noticed you also asked Alex95 (talk) on this. Although I don't think I am exactly as experienced with images as other users, I'm sure I can help you out. I currently don't have Photoshop on my laptop, but I do have a print screen button and a cropping tool in MS Paint. I should be able to screenshot the website, then crop the screenshot to show just the games. --DeepFriedCabbage 10:43, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
==Summary== ==Licensing== game-cover
Lord Falafel (talk) 11:09, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
I can't see the code I sent you. I'll tell you what I want the image to be called. File:Luigi-gamewatch-japan.png I'll also tell you where the image is. https://russetburbank.net Lord Falafel (talk) 11:11, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
You'll see categories of stuff. If you see the word toys, click that and there will be related items. If you see the word game, click that as fast as you can because it quickly disappears. Once you're there, Luigi's Hammer Toss should be one of the first results. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:14, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
Tell you what. I'll go to the Nelsonic game watch page and put the link there. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:34, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
- Four images are included with each one, with two of each showing the back. I'm planning on uploading all of them, unless there's only specific ones you want. Also, I recommend keeping the Summary and Licensing in this section. --DeepFriedCabbage 11:50, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
I can't control that last part. What I sent you created discussion boards all by themselves. First I recommend that you take a picture of the front of the Luigi's Hammer Toss watch and don't take any pictures of the boxes zoomed in. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:23, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
Thank you for uploading those images. I'll let you know when there are more images to upload. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:31, August 20, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Greetings[edit]
Hope I'm doing this right! My interactions via user discussion is actually quite low.
Hi Lord Falafel! I'd actually love to chat more if you're interested. If you have Discord, that'd be most convenient for me. I actually have quite a lot to say and ask about this Wiki and its history.
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tvdart (talk).
Ask Porplemontage about the wiki's history. I'm just a guy looking for all the obscure stuff. I don't have discord. Wiki will do fine. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:13, August 21, 2019 (EDT)
Have you considered[edit]
If you are trying to add special characters like the 'o' in this case, I would suggest searching for them online (like wikipedia or something) an using the copy-paste function to add them in. Trig - 22:16, August 22, 2019 (EDT)
- Actually, just open the "special characters" menu above the editing window. They're under "Latin." Heck, I don't know how to add them only using the keyboard. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:14, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
RE:Block[edit]
I'm going to be blunt for a second: in regards to what you said here, sometimes it's better to just deal with other users fixing your edits. It happens all the time. Also, please don't take blocks for granted; you weren't blocked for no good reason either. That happens as well; in fact, it's even happened to me. If you want your voice to be heard, then do it on a talk page, or a proposal if it comes down to that. I know it may sound like Mario jc and I are picking on you and your mistakes, but that's not it at all. We're here to help.
Regarding the order of series installments, it's better to count the arcade games as exceptional cases, since most readers exclude the arcade games from their personal scope of the Mario franchise. And no, "tell[ing] the ignorant about them" likely won't change any readers' perception.
I'll see if I can integrate something about arcade games in each article concerning the Mario Kart and Mario Party series. ;) (T|C) 22:49, August 22, 2019 (EDT)
I'm not saying they don't want to out of dislike or anything, I'm saying that, when counting Mario Party games, logically most people would count the "main"-series ones because, well, they were released internationally and therefore much more well-known. You can't blame them for that, or those for not knowing the other games for that matter (nor is it grounds for a block - that's not how it works around here). Mario JC 00:30, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
I'm sorry I got your name wrong, Toadette. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:41, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
- If the staff blocked people for such minor things, it would open up a whole can of worms regarding blocks and particular interests. Would I be blocked because I regard Action 52 as good? Would everyone who hates Super Mario Galaxy be blocked? I fear that with that system, only one person would be left at the end. Interests can be different, and that's good. I personally think that blocking users just because they don't happen to share a particular interest with you is very discourteous. I am not alone on this sentiment, as the messages above have proven. TheDarkStar 14:27, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
I know. But I wasn't talking about editors. Lord Falafel (talk) 14:34, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
You mean users as non editors? Yeah. I meant that, too. Lord Falafel (talk) 14:38, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
- I was referring only to registered users, but blocking anons because of a difference in interest isn't much better. TheDarkStar 14:42, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
What's an anon? Lord Falafel (talk) 14:46, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
Online browser games[edit]
FYI: Info like browser games promoting a full release should go in a separate "Release" or "Promotion and marketing" section in said full release game's article; it has no business in trivia. (T|C) 11:29, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
- Also, browser games usually don't count as "games" making up a series. (T|C) 11:32, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
I just want to educate Mario fans. Not all of them will look on the list of games for every game, even though I want them to. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:36, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
- No one's saying they should go unmentioned. Create a new header for that information like "Promotional games", but try to avoid placing them in trivia, or the introductory paragraphs for that matter (as those are reserved for a summary and the "first and foremost" facts on the subject and therefore don't fit there). I would also add simple one-off browser games like those do not count as "installments" in their respective series. Mario JC 21:45, August 24, 2019 (EDT)
- To clarify on the last sentence, that means covering them in the series article under a section like "Other games" but not counting them in the infoboxes. Mario JC 22:58, August 24, 2019 (EDT)
Tips (Part II)[edit]
I already talked to you about this in the first message I sent you but I feel it bears repeating" you are too fixated on the whole "making obscure things not obscure" shtick and it's making dealing with you and your contributions difficult.
Obviously, everyone has a motivation for editing on here, and it's not a bad thing... as long as it doesn't affect the quality of your work. To take my own example, my internet footprint makes it obvious I like the little witch character from WarioWare a lot and so I've spent some time improving her page and subjects related to her, but not to the point where I try to fluff up her page or shoehorn Ashley in subjects and section where it wouldn't make sense to mention her. You, on the other hand have been letting your chip on your shoulder effect your edits negatively, whether it's rushing things to be the "first" to mention something on a page, shoehorn mention of random browser games and other relatively unimportant things in the lead of major games, and being protective of your edits and getting into really weird hissy fits when someone reverts or change your contributions related to obscure content.
It's ok to be passionate about a subject, and in other circumstances, I'd encourage your passion for obscure content. But *not* until you prioritize the quality of your contributions first. --Glowsquid (talk) 22:26, August 24, 2019 (EDT)
Final warning[edit]
I'll make this clear: please reference your material (properly) or you're getting blocked again. You've copied/pasted before (unless you mean to tell me you typed out the reference character for character), you were given simple instructions on how to do so, and even then Google is able to help you. This shouldn't be too hard. Mario JC 21:51, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
Yes, I typed out the reference character for character. I've never held anything down and pasted it. You cover the Nintendo cereal system. I thought you knew about the commercial. I got the reference for the release date from the list of games. Why would you want to block me? I'm the only person actively looking for this obscure content and putting it on this wiki. I'm trying to help this site become a reliable information bank for Mario fans and you want to block me? I only try to help you. I ask for nothing in return. I do this to help people. I thought you were all appreciated by my contributions. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:16, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
- Regarding the second link: I went Googling and can at least see where the confusion arises from. A few sites including Giant Bomb's database like to list October 1, 1983 as the release date both in the results and on-site. However, the Donkey Kong Jr. Math article on Wikipedia cites a source that places the release for the game itself on December 12th of that same year, with the Donkey Kong Jr. + Jr. Sansū Lesson compilation released "shortly after". No specific date is given, but it is no doubt later than 10/1/83.
- The date he used seems to be wrong by all accounts, but the fault isn't entirely on him in that regard at least. -- Lord G. matters. 22:34, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
And regarding the first link? Lord Falafel (talk) 22:37, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
- To be determined. Also, as an aside: it's better to find "outside" references as opposed to relying on pulling from within the Wiki itself (which, as the possibility has just been made clear, may or may not be based entirely on solid information). It's cool that you're into obscure content, but neither that nor invoking a "valued contributor" status absolves you of doing due diligence with regards to referencing properly. -- Lord G. matters. 22:39, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
Don't worry. I have my library card again and I'll start putting links everywhere where information's needed. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:42, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
- Also also, the Donkey Kong Jr. + Jr. Sansū Lesson article we have itself cites a source that puts the release year as 1984. If ever there was an internal reference you should've checked, it was probably that. -- Lord G. matters. 22:44, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
And once again, I have to be the one to edit it in. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:48, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
- Or you could drop this attitude, because it's completely unnecessary especially in light of the fact that this conversation started because you weren't properly referencing to begin with. Not only that, but the addition itself was written in quite haphazardly, and the article also has a tag that a better (presumably more conclusive) source should be found. I highly suggest you avoid taking this tone when people are actually trying to help you recognize your mistakes. -- Lord G. matters. 22:52, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
People make mistakes. Every day. Speech problems, knocking a glass on the floor, stepping on a Lego, editing. It's what makes us human. This whole wiki is full of mistakes. I've read countless editor's summaries saying they made a mistake. No one can change people from making mistakes. We're not perfect. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:00, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
- And yet you seem to recoil in horror at the prospect of correcting yours. Spare me the sanctimony. -- Lord G. matters. 23:08, August 25, 2019 (EDT)
I'm not going to spell it out any clearer or nicer than this: You are not making mistakes. You are being ignorant and intentionally do not follow the format we provide for adding information. There is no "oh well I will try next time" anymore. You will either add proper referencing or you will be blocked. It is YOUR choice to make. Trig - 09:09, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
Chill out, dude. I'm trying my best here. I'm the only person on this wiki that's making this a dedicated website. You don't want to do this. If you block me, you'll lose the only individual on the planet who's helping you this much with obscure stuff. I have passion for it and you'll feel bad for getting rid of me. Lord Falafel (talk) 10:22, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
- Chill out. Pretty sure playing the "valued contributor" card won't fly anymore, especially given that I plan to continue the whole finding obscure stuff thing. You say that you are "the only person on this wiki that's making this a dedicated website", but really, we all are making this a dedicated website. TheDarkStar 11:38, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
By not looking for this stuff? By not fixing your grammatical and spelling errors or declaring links dead? By deleting Super Mario Bros. Pinball from the list of games? By being notified by borp about those arcade games? By not adding games or television series and films or publications or albums that you made pages for to any of your lists? With all due respect, it doesn't seem like you people are doing your job. It seems you're all neglecting this wiki. I'm trying to put a stop to that. I want to help you. But I can't do that if I'm blocked. Please send me someone to help me get some links on this site. I need someone's help. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:49, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
Why does my font look like that? Lord Falafel (talk) 11:49, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
And I meant being notified by borp about those arcade games and not putting them on the wiki. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:50, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
- It was the space before the sentence that put the text in an unwieldy code box. No need to worry, I have plans to carry on the project. We're not neglecting the wiki. People make mistakes. SMB Pinball doesn't count as a videogame per se, unless there's something I'm missing here. TheDarkStar 11:54, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
Well the list isn't called list of video games. So it all must stay. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:57, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
- "Yes, I typed out the reference character for character." As impressive as this is, it's tedious for you, isn't it? The problem we are trying to tell you is you need to have a better way of doing this.
- "I'm the only person actively looking for this obscure content" You are not.
- "I thought you were all appreciated by my contributions." We're thankful, but we're not celebrating you or anything.
- "I'm the only person on this wiki that's making this a dedicated website." Haha what?
- "it doesn't seem like you people are doing your job." This isn't a "job" by any means, it's completely voluntary. Regardless, have you seen the Recent Changes? People are clearly active here.
- "I want to help you. But I can't do that if I'm blocked." Then fix your attitude, because that's what's going to lead to it.
- "most valued contributor" As determined by who? No one on the wiki is more valued than the next guy. The only person who could possibly hold that title is Porplemontage.
- 11:59, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
I never said most valued contributor. And yes, it is tedious for me. But I don't care. I would do anything to make the Mario fan base happy. Even suffer. I would suffer to help them. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:04, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
- No, but that's how you're certainly coming off. You're not being oppressed or anything, we're trying to help you get this done easier while still following community guidelines. 12:06, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
But why can't we change the community guidelines? We should be able to post links of videos and names of videos separately. What I mean is, it shouldn't matter if it's a link or a title. If people can read the title, they can type it in on YouTube and it'll be there to see. And the same goes for websites, sometimes. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:13, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
- I am going to take it that you have never written a college paper ever because that is not how citations work in the slightest. That is not how it works, whether you want it to or not. It is not painful to cite a source, I promise. The point of a source is that the reader/viewer/observer does not have to do anything to find where it came from. Trig - 12:59, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
I wrote many essays in my college days. But why did you say college paper? Didn't you tell me you didn't have to be a college student to know how this works? Lord Falafel (talk) 13:02, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
- Trig meant that as a comparison saying citations are important for college papers, like they are for info on the wiki. Links are much more convenient than just video titles because they save the trouble of searching for the source. --DeepFriedCabbage 13:18, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
I guess you could say he's triggered. Haha. Not insulting, just joking. Well, I have my library card back. I'll start putting down citations. Then we won't have to worry about getting into discussions like this. You're doing great on those play Nintendo games. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:25, August 26, 2019 (EDT)
- Thanks. ...Just make sure to remember that Play Nintendo games don't count as main-series games and are more promotional material. --DeepFriedCabbage 18:36, August 26, 2019 (EDT)

Of course, some users are planning on it. Mario JC 21:38, August 28, 2019 (EDT)
👍 Lord Falafel (talk) 21:44, August 28, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Appreciation[edit]
You weren't in the right, either. Your attitude is still a problem, and it'd be best if you fix it quickly. I'm letting you off this time because TheDarkStar didn't explain his removal and this could've been easily avoided, so you both were in the wrong. Though even if he didn't report you, you should not act this way. Don't go saying things like "you need my help" or "why does everyone hate me", just go to their talk page and ask for an explanation. Responses like "Thanks for undoing my edits. I thought it was good that I was helping the Mario fan base expand their knowledge, but I guess not." are unacceptable.
Next time, I won't be lenient. 23:38, August 28, 2019 (EDT)
I said does anyone on this wiki hate me. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:41, August 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Same thing. You don't need to be worried about that. But to answer the question: No. You are only getting this many responses because people are trying to help you get your act together. 23:45, August 28, 2019 (EDT)
Not that I won't, I will, but what if I'm unable to? I'm not the kind of person who's nice to everyone. But I want to make this site better and better every day with edits. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:52, August 28, 2019 (EDT)
- It's great that you want to help, and you have found some neat stuff. But no one can change your attitude for you. That's your problem to fix. 23:54, August 28, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Difference[edit]
He made a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, both you, me, and every single other human. Accept that. He didn't know it had -e in the title. And yes, while you were in the right, DarkStar did not know that you were right. And please don't be bitter about Ireallydontcare. The best way to deal with the situation is to change your attitude and stop being flippant. Not talking to TheDarkStar is not the way to go, especially since, even though he undid your edit, you were the one who was extremely bitter, and disrespectful, over something that is frankly petty. Doomhiker (talk) 17:12, August 29, 2019 (EDT)
Not to be flippant, whatever that means, or rude, but it takes only a few seconds to look at 1 image and not be lazy. Not trying to be offensive. I need to stay on this site and without extra edits from me, not to sound arrogant, this wiki will not succeed in being perfect. I want people to rely on this site for everything Mario. Look at all the stuff I found. All the redirects I eliminated. All the trivia and facts I added. If I'm gone, how will missing stuff ever be recovered? Alex95 says I've gotta be nice and I really want to impress the wiki staff. And I'm not trying to offend TheDarkStar by saying he was either lazy or ignorant, by the way. Most of us human beings are. Have you seen that axe body spray commercial? Lord Falafel (talk) 17:24, August 29, 2019 (EDT)
- Flippant means to not show a serious or (in this case, as you are being serious) respectful attitude. Given the image, he may have assumed the -e is part of the packaging. This wiki will never be perfect, as nothing is. And you are doing a good job helping this site. I'm not saying you are not. And, to not be rude, but there are quite a lot of active users, even off this site, who help preserve information regarding the franchise, such as Supper Mario Broth. I, just like Alex95 feel like you should be nice. The above message was a reminder to stay nice as a response towards your edit, especially since you were suggesting to stop talking to TheDarkStar over something petty. Doomhiker (talk) 17:30, August 29, 2019 (EDT)
Does anyone on this wiki have an account on everythingsupermario? Lord Falafel (talk) 17:50, August 29, 2019 (EDT)
Reply to Assistance[edit]
What do you need? UhHuhAlrightDaisy (talk) 18:54, August 29, 2019 (EDT)
The list of games organized by system or just list of games had a big expansion, meaning many games were added. Some don't have valid sources. I was hoping you'd help me add references to every game watch (not game & watch) game except for Dr. Mario, which already has a reference. They're all on the game watch guys website. What I need you to do is go to that website, search for all the game watch titles that are on that game watch section except for Dr. Mario and put the pages of those games next to the name of each title (on the list of games) that's missing a valid citation. There will be multiple pages for each title. Choose one that has the exact release date that the list of games claims it does. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:26, August 29, 2019 (EDT)
I hope you're interested. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:51, September 1, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Super Mario Traffic Safety[edit]
You should know that considering you added it in the first place. Mario JC 22:05, September 1, 2019 (EDT)
I didn't watch the video. Gai just told me he said it in the video. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:07, September 1, 2019 (EDT)
- What he said, he was referring to the screening. You should really watch the video before leaving a comment or using it as a source. Mario JC 22:35, September 1, 2019 (EDT)
That's what I meant when I made that edit. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:51, September 1, 2019 (EDT)
- Your edit said "another copy". He replied saying there's a copy in Ehime; you weren't referring to that? Mario JC 23:13, September 1, 2019 (EDT)
I don't know. I heard it was also in Aichi, Nagoya, I don't know where else. But he has 2 guys helping him find a copy to buy online. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:27, September 1, 2019 (EDT)
Play Nintendo trivia quizzes[edit]
What more images should be added to the Play Nintendo trivia quizzes? Their preview icons? The images shown for each question? Something else? You should be more specific in your edit summaries or the image tags. --DeepFriedCabbage 15:12, September 6, 2019 (EDT)
All of that and gameplay. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:19, September 6, 2019 (EDT)
- It’s a quiz. There aren’t any images that can really show gameplay, unless we want to edit in a mouse cursor or something. Scrooge200 (talk) 15:33, September 6, 2019 (EDT)
Then just what obsessive Mario fan asked. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:35, September 6, 2019 (EDT)
- You added the tags, so you should know... Also, you said "All of that" which means the preview icons and images shown for each question would be added. --DeepFriedCabbage 15:46, September 6, 2019 (EDT)
All of the preview pictures should be added, too. Lord Falafel (talk) 14:41, September 7, 2019 (EDT)
Special characters[edit]
Recently, you've been adding links to pages with special characters and then asking people to fix it for you. The keyboard on your mobile device should have an option to type those special characters, if you look for it. Please do that, instead of asking others to do it. Thanks. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 17:52, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
My keyboard doesn't have the o with the line above it. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:55, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Try using desktop view. There's a "special characters" button that will have it. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 18:20, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
I don't have time for that. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:40, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
...it doesn't even take that long... -- Lord G. matters. 18:45, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
What does it look like? Lord Falafel (talk) 18:47, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Like this. -- Lord G. matters. 18:54, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Is that on a computer? Lord Falafel (talk) 18:56, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Yes - and before you trot out the response I'm thinking of, mobile devices have a "desktop view" option on browsers, as JoeRunner indicated. -- Lord G. matters. 18:59, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
I can't find desktop view. So, I'm stuck with this trash keyboard. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:02, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Desktop view is an easy-to-find link on the bottom of every page, near the copyright notice. It's easy as it gets. TheDarkStar 19:07, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
I can't easily see links. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:09, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
"Desktop view" or a similarly-phrased option should be readily accessible in the menu of any half-decent mobile browser (marked by three dots). As for mobile devices, have you tried holding down the base letter's key? -- Lord G. matters. 19:11, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
I don't mean to be rude, but what kind of question is that? Of course I've been holding down the base letter's key. That's how I can find and type åæāăąàáâãäėęěĕəèéêëēıįīïîíìœőøöõôóòųűůūüûúù. And çćčďđģğķłľļĺňņńñŕřśšşß§þťțţýźżž. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:18, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Is this not something you see? "Desktop" view is at the bottom. And as for the "I don't have time for that", you have as much time as anyone else who decides to edit. 19:20, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
You had time to type out literally every special character on that keyboard. I think you can navigate an options menu. :^) -- Lord G. matters. 19:22, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Desktop view messed up my device's visuals. It was an entirely different look. Don't trick me like that. It didn't show me new characters. I had to switch back to mobile view. I was deathly afraid that I would never be able to edit again. I'm not doing that ever again. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:31, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
What device are you using exactly? Mario Sakuraba (talk) 19:31, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
A Samsung tablet. I don't know which one. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:34, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
How, in any way or form, are we trying to trick you? I, for one, took it for granted that an option that changes views was supposed to result in an entirely different view. Not to mention it'd be just plain stupid to include the option and not include a way to change it back.
Furthermore, I've done a bit of editing from Samsung-brand tablets previously, so I highly doubt the device is the problem. -- Lord G. matters. 19:36, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Exactly. I think the exact unit I'm using was programmed poorly compared to other copies. I think work on this exact unit's keyboard was not finished. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:39, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Right, and I don't think anyone was trying to trick you about going into desktop view. I use an iPad, and I often go into desktop view whenever I want to edit multiple sections of a page at once and then switch back to mobile view, of course it's going to look different and you just need to try and get the hang of it.
Either way, it's now past midnight where I live and I need to get up early tomorrow so I'm gonna have to leave this conversation for now. Mario Sakuraba (talk) 19:40, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
What do you think, Lord Grammaticus? Do you think it's this particular unit I'm using? Lord Falafel (talk) 19:44, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
No. No, I do not. -- Lord G. matters. 19:45, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Why would a factory error affect its programming. At the bottom of the page, you click "Desktop view". You go to the desktop version of the site. Yes, it looks entirely different. Click "edit" at the top of the page. On top of the box where you edit, click "Special Characters". It opens a menu where you can use characters like ě. Doomhiker (talk) 19:53, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
I meant do you guys think my tablet has a factory error? Lord Falafel (talk) 19:57, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
- No, yours does not. Mobile keyboards are normally limited. Besides, an error would not affect its programming. Doomhiker (talk) 19:58, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Alternatively, you can also copy/paste the special characters from another page like I usually do, but typing them is quicker. --DeepFriedCabbage 20:01, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
And I like quicker. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:17, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Okay, you haven't actually effectively addressed whether or not these suggestions will work. Click desktop view. Click the "special characters" button on the top of the editing bar. Scroll through until you find what you need. That's all you have to do. And then you can go to the bottom and hit "mobile view" again. If somehow the button isn't showing up (and not just because you're not looking for it), then say that. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 22:58, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
- Gonna be frank and say that's probably not happening. -- Lord G. matters. 23:10, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
I gave up. I just want to get everything up on the wiki. One edit to fix each of my typos sounds ok. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:06, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Here, let's just end this ridiculously long thread. Lord Falafel, do what I said on my comment right above your last one if you ever have to type the ō character again. It's quicker for you to just do that instead of the other users having to fix things that you intentionally don't do just because they're not in your comfort zone. You can do these things, so there is no justification for not doing them. There's no need for another edit to be done if you can do it yourself. We can leave it at that.
Like Mario Sakuraba, I have to get some sleep. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 23:18, September 19, 2019 (EDT)
Redirects[edit]
Redirects are meant to help with finding mainspace articles (so talk or BJAODN redirects are unnecessary), they're not a personal preference thing. While I'm not entirely sure on Bros. 2 or Bros. 3 being helpful, Help:Redirect and MarioWiki:Redirects gives more information on our policy for it. 13:11, September 22, 2019 (EDT)
Re: Links[edit]
To put a link that leads outside the wiki, put one set of brackets []. The URL goes inside, along with the words it will appear as on the page after, separated by a space. For example: Yoshi's Crafted World Trivia Quiz becomes Yoshi's Crafted World Trivia Quiz. --DeepFriedCabbage 16:01, September 23, 2019 (EDT)
I know, but I'm much too busy with other stuff. Lord Falafel (talk) 16:30, September 23, 2019 (EDT)
- Real funny way of saying "Thanks for the advice". -- Lord G. matters. 17:53, September 23, 2019 (EDT)
I've been posting links with brackets. Links that I can see because they're on the wiki. But I'm too busy to post all the links for the other Play Nintendo games. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:00, September 23, 2019 (EDT)
- Busy on or outside of the wiki? If on, you should be able to add them. --DeepFriedCabbage 20:27, September 23, 2019 (EDT)
To obsessive Mario fan, outside of the wiki. To JoeRunner, I didn't ask. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:46, September 23, 2019 (EDT)
Empty sections[edit]
Hello, empty sections are normally discouraged, as they serve no purpose without any info. I would have said something about this in the edit summary, but I saved too early and couldn't find anything to fix so I could use the summary. Sorry! TheDarkStar 10:33, September 25, 2019 (EDT)
Super Mario Rolling Party of Mystery[edit]
Out of curiosity, is there a source for that (pretty nice) translation you added? TheDarkStar 11:17, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Never mind, noticed it was translated as that on its own page. TheDarkStar 11:19, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
I don't want to risk getting blocked again because of my behavior, so I'll be the nicest as possible. I think we should ignore each other, just so I can keep editing. Because I can't keep doing this. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:23, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- ...much as we appreciate the foresight, the guy was just asking for a source. -- Lord G. matters. 17:38, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
It doesn't take life out of a person to check and see if the game's page has the source. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:41, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- ...so is that referring to you answering DarkStar's question, or... -- Lord G. matters. 17:44, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
It's a nicer way of me telling you what I would've said to him, if this wiki allowed people to speak their mind. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:47, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Really? I didn't think something as simple as, say, "Source is on the page" would be so rude. Huh, the things you learn. -- Lord G. matters. 17:50, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
I meant I would've said something harsher. But this wiki wants everyone to be happy and get along and jump around in bunny suits and ignore the fact that people fight in real life. We should be the same. We shouldn't be ok with people messing up. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:57, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Wait, so you want the wiki to be bogged down in meaningless arbitrary conflicts that can be avoided by acting maturely?
...I don't follow. -- Lord G. matters. 18:05, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
No, you don't. I'm always on my own on this wiki. Everyone has abandoned me. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:10, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- 'k. Later, then. -- Lord G. matters. 18:13, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- "We shouldn't be ok with people messing up." People mess up all the time. Even you. Our imperfections make us human. So don't act immature and avoid conflicts by refusing to talk and claiming that people abandon you. Your aren't on your own, otherwise it wouldn't be a wiki. I'm not an admin, but I can still safely say that the Super Mario Wiki does allow people to have voices. We just don't want people to turn this place into a social media-esque cesspool of toxicity. So please stop acting like everybody hates you when they don't, please stop acting like people are perfect robots, please stop acting like you're perfect, and please don't get angry whenever people make mistakes. We are all human, so please don't take this as me insulting or saying anything about you that I'm not. You are a great user, you just need to think of the bigger picture. Doomhiker (talk) 18:37, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
Then maybe people should help me with links. That would prove people want to help me. But Mario jc and all them want me to do everything by myself. Lord Falafel (talk) 18:44, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- Not really. They just want you to be able to do simple tasks on your own. Doomhiker (talk) 18:46, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
Okay.
- "if this wiki allowed people to speak their mind": Take a look at any talk pages and your statement will be instantly disproven.
- "But this wiki wants everyone to be happy and get along and jump around in bunny suits and ignore the fact that people fight in real life": No? The courtesy policy exists because A. we aren't SmashWiki and B. this is a wiki, and personal attacks have been forbidden on wikis since before MarioWiki even existed.
- "I'm always on my own on this wiki. Everyone has abandoned me": No, we haven't, as the frequent contributions to your talk page have shown.
- "We shouldn't be ok with people messing up": We aren't okay with people messing up, if they've done so very frequently with talk page messages about the very thing they're messing up.
Nobody hates you. We just want you to learn to do these incredibly easy things yourself. A guide for copy-pasting on mobile. I know the link is for Android, but this is basically how it works on any other mobile device. If you're somehow still having trouble with copying and pasting, I suggest changing your browser. TheDarkStar 19:40, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Video titles[edit]
No. Not unless you show us some kind of proof that your device is literally incapable of doing these things. Because when you mention a special case like "My tablet is poorly programmed" and "I can't see the URL" without so much as a screencap, it becomes difficult for others to buy your claims. Mario JC 22:51, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
I just wanted to make this wiki better than the last day every day. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:54, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- You did say something about getting a laptop a while back, so use that for editing if your current device is really incapable of seeing URLs. TheDarkStar 23:23, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
I don't have it now, my dad still has it. I was planning to have people help me with links as a default. But I also got my library card back. I'm just a very busy guy and I haven't had a free day to go to the library. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:29, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
In the Youtube app on my phone, I can choose a "share" option below a video, and then I can choose "copy link". I don't know if that works on your device, but you can check. --DeepFriedCabbage 10:12, September 29, 2019 (EDT)
How are those Play Nintendo games going? Lord Falafel (talk) 10:15, September 29, 2019 (EDT)
- If you want to change the subject, you can start a new section in my talk page. The Play Nintendo games are going well, though I have took a short break from them to make room for Yoshi's Crafted World levels. --DeepFriedCabbage 14:16, September 29, 2019 (EDT)
Ummmmm… did you try copying a video link to see if it worked? If we give you suggestions, try them, don't just change the subject. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 11:17, September 29, 2019 (EDT)
I'm busy right now. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:19, September 29, 2019 (EDT)
Okay. Just remember to try it at some point. :) JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 11:34, September 29, 2019 (EDT)
I finally got a laptop. Now I can read links. This site will be getting more citations. Lord Falafel (talk) 23:58, October 1, 2019 (EDT)
Nice. :) JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 09:07, October 2, 2019 (EDT)
Satellaview comics?[edit]
Hi.
Do you know where you can find those Satellaview comics that you alluded to in those edits for Princess Peach and Mario's articles? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 10:44, October 3, 2019 (EDT)
- You want this, which was linked in those specific sections. -- Lord G. matters. 10:50, October 3, 2019 (EDT)
- Well, to be fair, they weren't linked in Peach's section when I asked. Had to find a link in I think Toad's section. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 11:03, October 3, 2019 (EDT)
Virtual magazine. Not comics. Yeah, sure. It's on the satellaview's page and it has it's own page, too. Shitamachi Ninjo Gekijo. But each o has a line above it. My moron tablet programmers added characters that are vowels with lines above them except for o, for some stupid reason. That's why I couldn't add the virtual magazine myself. Lord Falafel (talk) 10:51, October 3, 2019 (EDT)
- Nō, it was nōt your tablet prōgrammers that added in those diacritics. They're valid symbōls in sōme languages, as to why sōme articles use them. TheDarkStar 11:13, October 3, 2019 (EDT)
Māybē, they should all be avaīlable to me on my keyboard. The others are. It doesn't matter if they're valid symbols. What happened to me is not fair, būt whatever. I have a laptop, now. So I can add video and website links, now. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:20, October 3, 2019 (EDT)
Notice templates[edit]
You can specify that a notice template is for a section by using
,
and the like. As a side note, rewrite-expand uses frankly ridiculous different formatting than other notice templates, like this:
. TheDarkStar 15:37, October 5, 2019 (EDT)
I'll try to remember. Lord Falafel (talk) 15:39, October 5, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Hotel Mario[edit]
Eliminating a misused reference doesn't automatically kill the chances of ever getting any audio files uploaded. No need to exaggerate. Mario JC 21:05, October 5, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Images[edit]
What do you mean? Mario JC 20:43, October 8, 2019 (EDT)
- Well, adding images myself is complicated and I thought if I uploaded the names of whatever, games, television series and films, publications, merchandise, etc and added the sources at the same time, someone could get the images uploaded and then we'd have that content covered. Lord Falafel (talk) 21:21, October 8, 2019 (EDT)
- It is not. Save the image to your device (or copy the direct image URL), go to Special:Upload, select "Choose file" (if you saved the image) or paste the URL (if you copied), then fill in the descriptions below (doesn't matter if these are done incorrectly, that can be dealt with later) and hit "Upload file". We're not doing this again. Mario JC 21:45, October 8, 2019 (EDT)
Fine. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:01, October 8, 2019 (EDT)
Is the url to an image just a bunch of code like YouTube video links I've been adding or is it like ours with names like so and so.jpg? Lord Falafel (talk) 11:02, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
Each image has a URL. At least on a computer (which you do have now), you can get an image URL by clicking and holding on an image and releasing it on the address bar of the browser. You can copy this URL (found in the address bar), then paste the URL into the editing box (without brackets or anything) where you want it. You can use the "show preview" button at the bottom to make sure you have it right. If you do it this way, the image won't be uploaded onto the wiki, but it will be visible for people to see. It's always best to upload it to the wiki if possible, though, especially if it's being used in the mainspace. Thanks. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 18:15, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
That doesn't answer my question. Please answer my question. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:06, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
- He told you like, twice over how you can get the URL. Do what he says and you'll see what it looks like. -- Lord G. matters. 19:15, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
Something else, I can't access my wiki account through my computer. So, I can copy the url and put it in the address bar, but I'll have to type the url down in my tablet character by character. And considering a capital I looks like a lowercase l, that makes me really mad. And it will make it harder. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:21, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
- What happens when you try to log in on your computer? JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 19:54, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
- That doesn't make much sense. I work on both mobile and a computer, and I've never had any trouble logging in. TheDarkStar 20:23, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
I got my computer very recently and didn't own it when I established this account. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:29, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
- I don't see how that would affect anything at all unless your laptop was from 1982 or something. Have you tried clicking "log in" at the top-right of the screen? TheDarkStar 20:32, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
No. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:33, October 10, 2019 (EDT)
[edit]
Just to clarify the rules on image captions: if the caption is a sentence fragment—meaning it doesn't stand alone as its own sentence—then the caption doesn't have a period. If it's a full sentence—meaning it has a subject, verb, and object—then the caption does have a period. This means that the removals of periods were correct, as they were sentence fragments; just not for the right reason. Just clarifying. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 18:35, October 13, 2019 (EDT)
Wikipedia links[edit]
Hello, changing interwiki table links to template links does basically nothing except shorten the coding for the link itself. The wiki isn't a "joke" because it uses one type of Wikipedia link over another. TheDarkStar 00:09, October 25, 2019 (EDT)
Coding the links makes us look dignified and we must make sure we know what we're doing to make this site better than it was the day before. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:14, October 25, 2019 (EDT)
It's been a while.[edit]
Hey, Lord Falafel. It's been a while since i contributed here. I was wondering if you remember me. YoshiFan08(Talk)(Edits)
Of course I remember you. What happened to you, man? Lord Falafel (talk) 14:20, November 4, 2019 (EST)
Well, i got a FANDOM account and seemed to forgot about this account. YoshiFan08(Talk)(Edits) 17:40, November 4, 2019 (EST)
Are you still gonna make edits here? Lord Falafel (talk) 17:57, November 5, 2019 (EST)

Donkey Konga edit[edit]
If something doesn't work, remove the edits. Do not simply leave broken coding on the page. Mario JC 03:04, November 15, 2019 (EST)
I don't know how to do that. Lord Falafel (talk) 10:14, November 15, 2019 (EST)
- It's as simple as removing the stuff you added. There's not much to it. TheDarkStar 10:35, November 15, 2019 (EST)
Here's a better idea: how about they be compassionate of mobile users? Lord Falafel (talk) 10:49, November 15, 2019 (EST)
- Or just don't leave broken coding. It's okay if you fix it immediately after saving, but I believe you can still use "Show preview" to check your work on mobile (it's been a while since I used mobile, though). 10:52, November 15, 2019 (EST)
Why? Lord Falafel (talk) 10:53, November 15, 2019 (EST)
Why has it been a while since you used mobile? Lord Falafel (talk) 11:01, November 15, 2019 (EST)
- Oh, desktop just works better. I rarely have a need to edit away from home, anyway. 11:03, November 15, 2019 (EST)
What if you see a kid walking in a store with a Mario shirt on that we don't cover and when you get back home, you forget what it looks like? Lord Falafel (talk) 11:06, November 15, 2019 (EST)
- I actually forget about it five minutes after pointing it out because I'm focused on more important things ^^; That reminds me, I could probably add the image of Mario and Luigi slippers I took at Wal-Mart the other day... 11:10, November 15, 2019 (EST)
There's also stuff at Target and other places I found. I just gotta find a way to put it all on the internet. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:13, November 15, 2019 (EST)
RE: Songs on the list[edit]
That's different. Those songs from the animated shows are songs exclusively written for the show, not licensed songs.
While I disagree with the reasoning behind the removal, simply saying "there are songs in the Super Mario Bros. movie" is extremely vague and should at least be followed with actually specifying the songs that appear. Mario JC 20:18, November 16, 2019 (EST)
I know. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:26, November 16, 2019 (EST)
RE: The Art of Super Mario Odyssey[edit]
Because hosting all 368 pages of an official copyrighted book is simply put a bad idea, and what do you mean "other publications"? The ones you're probably thinking of are different (like manuals), or only a few pages of their respective books. See book-scan. Mario JC 00:17, November 19, 2019 (EST)
No, I'm not. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:22, November 19, 2019 (EST)
RE: Don't split[edit]
Read the proposal linked in the notice, there was consensus to split the articles. And when? Mario JC 20:32, November 21, 2019 (EST)
NayruLink posted that comment this year in August. I think he has a point. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:34, November 21, 2019 (EST)
- That's not how it works. One comment against doesn't prevent the split after a number of people have voted for through a proposal. If you don't think so, they or you can start a counterproposal. Mario JC 20:43, November 21, 2019 (EST)
Courtesy link to the comment in question. TheDarkStar 20:41, November 21, 2019 (EST)
Summaries[edit]
This is not at all acceptable. Saying such things as "why is your grammar so bad" is a personal attack, and is even mentioned in the courtesy policy. TheDarkStar 11:12, November 22, 2019 (EST)
Which somehow lacks the level four offense of threatening someone's life. And swearing. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:15, November 22, 2019 (EST)
I mean swearing in general. Lord Falafel (talk) 11:16, November 22, 2019 (EST)
- Swearing is not inherently an offence. Per the page "The occasional use of profanity is allowed as long as it is not directed at another user, but it should generally be avoided.". And threatening another person's life is on an entirely different level than being rude, so I don't know why you're bringing that up. Your comment, while a personal attack, is minor. Doomhiker (talk) 11:22, November 22, 2019 (EST)
Then make swearing an offense unless it's part of a name of something. And if threatening is on another level, make it a level 5 offense. There are some messed up people on this planet. What if someone's life was threatened? Would the staff just let that be a pass? Lord Falafel (talk) 11:45, November 22, 2019 (EST)
- If a person is life threatened then the person who did the threat will be instantly blocked, no questions asked. A level four offence warrants and instant block. If any other measures, such as informing the police, need to be taken, they will be taken without hesitation. And swearing does not need to be an offence. Swearing is not inherently used for offence. For example, a person may swear do to being frustrated at something unrelated to anyone. Swearing being used to offend is already not allowed, so banning it entirely is not nessecary at all. And being rude is not a level four offence. See MarioWiki:Warning policy for more information. Regardless, what does this have anything to do with what you did? Being discourteous usually is only a level two offence if it is done repeatedly, which applies to using swearing to offend. Obviously, there are examples of discourteous behaviour that is a level four offence, like said threatening or slurs. Doomhiker (talk) 12:07, November 22, 2019 (EST)
But only having the information here on my talk page that someone would be blocked if they threatened someone isn't enough. People need to know on the warning policy. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:21, November 22, 2019 (EST)
- Not threatening people is both common sense and basic humanity. Like, threatening someone's life is illegal. Doomhiker (talk) 12:23, November 22, 2019 (EST)
Fine. Lord Falafel (talk) 12:26, November 22, 2019 (EST)
Okay, so, "why is your grammar so bad" is not what I'd call a personal attack or threatening in any way. Unless I missed something, I'm not sure how this is even "threatening", and there's no profanity involved here???
It is a pretty rude thing to say, as pointed out in the Courtesy policy. The wiki is edited by people of all ages (usually 10-50 range, I assume) by people who just like editing a Mario database. It is also edited by people where English is not their first language, so grammar may not be completely correct. Instead of making fun of them, just help them out.
Additionally, your recent edits show blatant disregard towards admin edits and other users, making excuses for not fixing very simple things (something you were blocked for before), and you just generally don't seem to understand very simple concepts of how internet sites work (like not clicking the log in link on a different computer) and it is greatly effecting your communication skills to the point where we have to keep explaining it even after you seem to have already understood it. You've been helpful, but you also really need to take the time to figure out just how an internet site and the community works. Hope you keep this in mind next time. 13:38, November 22, 2019 (EST)
I never said my comment was threatening. I just meant if a mentally unstable person joined this wiki and threatened another editor's life, then they'd be doing something bad, but it wasn't in the community guidelines not to when I checked. Also, Wikipedia doesn't like it when editors swear, so why should we? I also think three months and one year are unnecessarily long block lengths. We shouldn't be so harsh. Maybe we could lighten all the block lengths. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:57, February 22, 2020 (EST)
- Welcome back.
- "I just meant if a mentally unstable person joined this wiki and threatened another editor's life, then they'd be doing something bad, but it wasn't in the community guidelines not to when I checked."
- MarioWiki:Don't shoot your foot off.
- "Wikipedia doesn't like it when editors swear, so why should we?"
- As much as I don't like it either, we are not Wikipedia. As long as it's not excessive or meant to insult someone, then whatever.
- "I also think three months and one year are unnecessarily long block lengths. We shouldn't be so harsh. Maybe we could lighten all the block lengths."
- They likely deserved it. Those aren't lengths we give right away, they are for people who will not stop causing trouble. 14:03, February 22, 2020 (EST)
I recently made an edit on list of games and a bunch of replies to pie pivot monitor on the super Mario 64 slot machine were made by a hardcore slot machine specialist called -Crest- and I sourced a portion of one of his replies and put more information he gave in my summary. Lord Falafel (talk) 14:23, February 22, 2020 (EST)
"Please do not undo my edit." "Please do not remove." "Please keep said content on this list." "Please put them back. I worked so hard to have them on here."
"If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then don't submit it here." 23:35, February 23, 2020 (EST)
Tell that to TheDarkStar, who has been deliberately removing valid information, like donkey kong-e and the play Nintendo games. He acts like I'm just some stupid amateur who uploads knockoffs 24/7. I joined this wiki to make it better, not to be sabotaged. Please don't block me. I just want to speak my mind. Why does he hate my guts? Why? Lord Falafel (talk) 00:18, February 24, 2020 (EST)
- Okay, where the heck did that come from? He's not sabotaging you, he's not "deliberately" attacking you. The Play Nintendo games are something of a gray area, as they are really more of promotional material than full games, so there was nothing wrong with questioning them. Don't assume other users hate you just because they want more information than just a "Yes, they count" from only one person. Calling someone out over something simple will make it look like the opposite of what you are trying to accomplish. You just got off of a block for similar issues. 00:24, February 24, 2020 (EST)
Why do you people have to be so strict and block us? I'm trying to help you get more accurate and noticed and you blocked me for 3 months. I get stuff I did was wrong, but you are all so harsh. No disrespect. I know you're not Wikipedia, but this site seems to be heavily inspired by it. I joined Wikipedia and the first and only time I got blocked, it was for 1 day. Why can't you be like that? I hope no one enjoyed my absence. Again, not trying to be a jerk, but why can't you be reasonable? I just want this site to succeed. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:33, February 24, 2020 (EST)
- You are on thin ice. We don't block people for fun, we do it because they need to take time away and learn to control their issues. In your case, you needed to work more on your social skills, which you clearly have not. You will not learn to be a better person after just one day. We are reasonable, but we also act accordingly. Don't blame the admins for your problems.
- And by the way, saying "no disrespect" does not excuse you from being disrespectful. 01:01, February 24, 2020 (EST)
My social skills in real life are great, just not on the internet. Lord Falafel (talk) 01:07, February 24, 2020 (EST)
- Then work on it. We've already given you all the help you need, you just need to follow through with it. 01:09, February 24, 2020 (EST)
RE: VS. Wrecking Crew[edit]
That obviously doesn't mean citing definitions for simple words. Mario JC 19:32, February 25, 2020 (EST)
Oh, ok. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:38, February 25, 2020 (EST)
Edit Flooding[edit]
I see that you're using a mobile app, but you're still flooding the edit history and recent changes. Do you have a computer? Editing on the MarioWiki by computer allows you to edit a big article all at once instead of editing it by section-by-section, and it also allows you to preview your edits and mark your edits as minor. Just giving you a heads up. :) Mari0fan100 (talk) 16:57, February 26, 2020 (EST)
And somehow it's an offense to edit your own page in one edit. Lord Falafel (talk) 17:05, February 26, 2020 (EST)
- It's not. Whether you're talking about main pages, talk pages, or other types of user pages, editing a page you created in one large edit is allowed. You may be mistaken with the rule that you can't make a large amount of different userspace edits in one go. Either way, be more careful when making claims about rules. Anyways, to build on what MariOfan100 said, as you already know, but may find use of being reminded of, is that by going to the "desktop" button on the bottom of the page, you can do stuff that you can do on a computer like the mentioned marking your edits as minor. You can return by going to the "mobile view" button on the bottom of the page. Doomhiker (talk) 18:58, February 26, 2020 (EST)
I thought I read somewhere that users had to edit their own user pages many times and not one time, which I thought I read was an offense. But whatever. I guess I'm crazy. Lord Falafel (talk) 19:50, February 26, 2020 (EST)
- If you focus more on your userspace than the actual articles, then that's a problem. Editing a page in one go rather than several small edits is preferred. 20:34, February 26, 2020 (EST)
Gotcha. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:45, February 26, 2020 (EST)
The problems with being a respectful editor are that I don't like the desktop version of this site, I can never work a laptop right and it's easier for me to make a bunch of edits because if I need to shorten a Wikipedia page or more, it's easier to find all of them or that one in a section if I look all over that section. If I turn on desktop mode, I'll have to look all over the page's code for Wikipedia links and that will take so much time, energy, work and effort out of me and I'd have to spend hours and hours on end doing it to a few pages each. But also, my tablet has pop ups no matter where I am and if I lose all that work while still editing, I'll lose every ounce of my sanity. So it's easier this way for me, but I don't want to be a bad editor or a nuisance. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:14, February 26, 2020 (EST)
- "I'll have to look all over the page's code for Wikipedia links and that will take so much time"
- There's a helpful little tool called "Search and replace" that shows up when you click the "Advanced" tab on the desktop editing window (it's the magnifying glass icon on the top-right). You can search for all the "[[wikipedia:" and turn it into "{{wp|". You will have to go through and find the ends of all those links and replace the proper brackets, but it should only take you five minutes at most. 22:22, February 26, 2020 (EST)
Well, since I completed work on so many pages, I probably won't have to worry about that. But thank you for the helpful information. On another matter, why do we italicize N/A? That's not a game title. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:42, February 26, 2020 (EST)
- Assuming you mean N/A as not applicable (or sometimes called non applicable), it's generally because it's a clearer emphasis that something is empty without leaving it blank. Trig - 22:45, February 26, 2020 (EST)
I understand what N/A means, but we don't need to have it look crooked if it's not a game, movie, tv show, publication or board game title. I think we should make it look like N/A, rather than N/A because, yeah. Lord Falafel (talk) 22:50, February 26, 2020 (EST)
Use the preview function before actually publishing your edits. After you hit "Next", if there's something that needs fixing, press the back arrow button instead of "Save". Mario JC 19:59, March 1, 2020 (EST)
Ok. Thanks for the tip. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:00, March 1, 2020 (EST)
I can't preview the video before saving. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:02, March 1, 2020 (EST)
- But you can preview the article before saving. That's when you can see the links, and if a link goes to an error, then you go back and fix it. And you've already been taught how to copy/paste links multiple times; it would save from all of this if you would just do that. Mario JC 20:07, March 1, 2020 (EST)
Desktop mode looks too weird to me. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:09, March 1, 2020 (EST)
- This has nothing to do with desktop mode, this is all doable in mobile. Mario JC 20:11, March 1, 2020 (EST)
I'm a trash editor. I'm sorry I'm wasting your time. Someone with 10 times more intelligence than me should be editing this wiki. Not me. Lord Falafel (talk) 20:14, March 1, 2020 (EST)
- You don't need a high level of intelligence to understand this. The problem is that you just give up at the slightest sight of difficulty, and it gives off the impression that you didn't even try. Doesn't matter if you do it wrong the first time as long as you at least give it a shot, but self-pity isn't going to get you anywhere. Mario JC 19:28, March 2, 2020 (EST)
