- This article is about the item that slows opponents' movements in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. For the item that freezes opponents in various Mario games (and Donkey Kong Land III), see Stop Watch. For other types of Timers, see Timer.
A Timer is an item in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and later appears in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. The player can pick up this item to slow down the flow of time for all other players for a short time. Occasionally, the Timer will have a different effect and only slow down the one who grabbed it, or it may slow down everyone. Oddly enough, the trophy information states that the timer always benefits the user, although it is common for it to backfire.

NA: Grabbing this will make time flow at a different pace around you. Everyone else will slow down, letting you grab all the items and get in some blows. Sometimes, though, this item backfires and slows you down too. Worst case, it may actually slow ONLY you. That's not so great... PAL: Pick this up to make time move slowly for everyone but you! With the timer in hand, grabbing items and attacking gets much easier, so if someone else gets it, start defending yourself. Timers can be a little hit or miss, though. It might slow time down for everyone, or maybe just for you! |
