Li'l Cutout Soldiers are small black papery enemies that appear in Paper Mario: The Origami King. They appear in Bowser's Castle after Olivia and the rest of Bowser's minions suddenly vanish. In battle, Li'l Cutout Soldiers cannot be slid up or down. Lots of them are initially connected together in their row, however sliding in the direction of their spots will merge them together, eventually into one, although they will spread out again if the player keeps sliding.

Li'l Cutout Soldiers surrounding Mario in a cutscene

Li'l Cutout Soldiers no longer appear after the Scissors is defeated.

There are also larger variants called Big Cutout Soldiers. Both variants and Handaconda are depicted in Collectible Treasure No. 111: Cutout Soldiers.
