World 2-Tower is the tower of World 2 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and is the second tower in the game. This tower heavily features metallic fences that the player can cling on. As the player advances, purple fireballs come from above. They can be taken out with ice balls if the player has an Ice Flower. At the end of the tower, Roy Koopa is fought. This tower only feature Dry Bones as enemies.

Layout[edit]

The level starts with two doors, which lead to a room with a P Switch that make Blue Coins appear, and a remote-controlled moving metallic fence that Mario must use to get them. The entire level is based around the use of metallic fences to progress, while avoiding Dry Bones, spikes and purple fireballs launched from above by Roy Koopa. At the top of the first section is a door that leads to a midway point and the beginning of the second section. In a hidden area to the right of the last ? Block, is a Red Ring with another metallic fence. At the end of the level, Mario must enter the red doors to battle Roy Koopa. During the fight, Roy attacks by jumping and ground pounding (Mario becomes stunned and vulnerable to Roy's attacks if he is on the ground when Roy lands). He then shoots fireballs out of his wand. Roy spins around in his shell trying to hit Mario when stomped on. He is defeated after being stomped on three times.

Star Coins[edit]

  • Star Coin 1: Shortly before the final Warp Door in the first area, there is a split path between a huge midair platform with two grate platforms. Mario and co. should take the right path and continue jumping up until the first Star Coin can be seen on the left path. Once at the top, Mario and co. can obtain the Star Coin by jumping to it.
  • Star Coin 2: To the right of the first Dry Bones after the midway point, the second Star Coin rests in a hidden area.
  • Star Coin 3: Above the stairs-like platform with three Dry Bones are three grate platforms, and the third Star Coin is floating in front of the left-most one. Mario and co. should jump to the grate and grab onto it at the right time to obtain the Star Coin without touching the spikes.
