Intelligent Systems is a video game company and affiliate of Nintendo, founded in 1986. The company is known for producing the Fire Emblem series and Wars series; assisting in the development of Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U; and helping Nintendo to debug its systems[1] and develop the Nintendo 3DS's camera application.[2]

In the Super Mario franchise, Intelligent Systems created the Paper Mario series and has assisted in developing the WarioWare series since WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! In the credits for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Intelligent Systems is listed under special thanks.
