Shifting Sands is a desert in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. It is very similar to Shifting Sand Land from Super Mario 64 and Dry Dry Desert from Paper Mario. The course is filled with many sand dunes and sand traps, along with some craked ground that does not make the ball go far at all. Throughout the course, the player is taken through ruins, pyramids, clifts, and shpinxes, while Klepto vultures fly around once in a while (ad a small watering hole o hole 14). In the last few holes in the course, it becomes evening, at which time the winner is announced when everyone's done.

In Mario Pinball Land, the Shifting Sands was one of the worlds Mario went to. Here, Mario fought Pokeys, Lakitu and his Spinys, and Kleptos. But that's what he did outside, until he found King Tuts pyramid. In there, he went up against many Cobrats, and pesky Shy Guys (there were also two of Toad's Tents here-one on the left and right sides). When Mario finally made it to the inner sanctum, he awakened King Tut himself and fought him. Using his magic against him, Maio defeated Tut and took his Star Key to move on.
