Reporter John is a minor character that appears in Game & Wario. Being a reporter dog, he is comparable to Ken and Rocky the Reporter.
At the start of the game, Wario is seen watching his television. After flicking through several channels, he finds one where a man is seen playing a game. Reporter John then appears, stating that a new method of playing video games, that with two screens, is launching. He then states that "this system is as cool as it gets".
