Flip Out (Let Sleeping Flomps Lie in the British English version) is a General minigame appearing in Mario Party: Island Tour. Its name is derived from the phrase, "flip out", meaning to react very excitedly. The British name derives from the phrase, "let sleeping dogs lie", meaning to avoid terrible things that happened before.
Introduction[edit]
The demo features Blue Toad jumping on the first Flomp, and then on a platform. As he lands on the second Flomp, it spins, sending him back to the start line.
Gameplay[edit]
The object of the minigame is to reach the goal first by jumping on several Flomps and platforms. While platforms are safe to stand on, Flomps frequently spin, sending the player back some spaces if they are stepping on it.
Controls[edit]
- – Jump
In-game text[edit]
- Rules – American English "Race and jump across platforms and Flomps to the finish line."
- Rules – British English "Head for the goal by jumping on top of the Flomps."
