The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.

The Excess Express Engineer is the Toad that controls the Excess Express in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Bub, one of the passengers on the train, wants to be an engineer when he grows up. If Mario gets an autograph from the engineer and gives it to Bub, he will receive a Shine Sprite.

Trivia

  • Though the engineer's name is not known for sure, the autograph seems to read "Carl".
  • Despite being a Toad, the black cap that the Engineer wears is a bit smaller than the Mushroom usually seen on Toads' heads.
