Aim of the Game is a Battle and Duel minigame found in Mario Party 8 and a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party: The Top 100. Its name is a pun on a phrase that means "what one wants to accomplish." The minigame takes place in a casino.

Introduction[edit]

A top hat is on the screen, and cards start flying out of the top. Shortly thereafter, the game begins.

Gameplay[edit]

Each player must shoot five cards from a falling deck and try to get the highest score. The cards flip repetitively, and the number on each card (and therefore the point value) is visible for only a short while. The numbers are 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, ×2 (which doubles the player's current score), and ×0 (which reduces the player's total score to zero). The "×" cards are multipliers. A timer is not visible while the minigame is in progress, but as soon as the last of the cards fall offscreen, the minigame ends; afterwards, the value of the cards gets added up or multiplied.
