Cut from the Team is a luck-based Battle minigame in Mario Party 8.
Overview[edit]
In the introduction, the camera zooms in on the mountain, going through the hole in the mountain, and then zooms up to show the four players on top of the mountain with a small ejector stand and ten wires connected to it.
Players line up and take turns walking onto the stand and cutting one of the ten wires, three of which are active. A player who cuts a dead wire is safe and moves to the back of the line. A player who cuts an active wire triggers a spring that ejects them off the platform, thus eliminating them. The minigame continues until one player remains, and that player wins.
In the ending, the remaining player does their winning animation. In Party Mode, if the results screen remains, the camera zooms out to its original position of the introduction.
