Nintendo Kids Space (ニンテンドーキッズスペース) is a division of Nintendo's official Japanese website. Primarily aimed at children, the website promotes Nintendo-published products through material such as printables, comics, and articles. Its American counterpart is Play Nintendo and its European counterpart is Nintendo Kids Club. The oldest feature on the Nintendo Kids Space portal is a Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker comic strip, which is shown to have been updated on September 17, 2014, indicating the website itself was launched before Play Nintendo. The website was regularly updated with new content until January 13, 2017, when it was announced through a sitewide notice that further children-oriented content would instead be hosted by the Topics section of nintendo.co.jp;[1] however, the website presently remains open to visitors.

Choite-kun

Choite-kun (ちょいテくん[2]) are thumb-like characters that appear throughout the Nintendo Kids Space website. They host the "A little tech" series of articles (ちょいテク, officially romanized as Choitech[3]), where they convey information and tips on various video games published on Nintendo consoles. They often adopt appearances that reflect the game they talk about; for instance, in an article about Super Mario Maker, they dress up to look like Mario characters. One Choite-kun in particular, Afro-te-kun (アフロ・テくん[2], Afuro te-kun), is recommended as "the funkiest bro who gives you a little tech with a badass flow."[2]

Sections

The website features several sections, or "corners", each with a certain type of content (printables, comics, character profiles etc.) The following lists summarize the materials in each section that are relevant to or touch on the Mario or the Super Smash Bros. franchises.

March 16, 2016 Part 2 of the extra episode of Super Mario Maker Course Sakusei Kouza Mashiko to Yamamura, in which Yamamura revises the course Mary O. was assigned to build in the episode's first part. One of Yamamura's observations regards placing a key so it is obtainable after touching a Checkpoint Flag, since restarting the level from the flag may render the key unobtainable and any Key Door that may need it unopenable.
For this episode, Mary O. briefly assumes a disguised look, which takes Yamamura by suprise to such a degree that he spits the soybeans he was eating. Mary O. states that she disguised herself to evade the persistent attention of fans following the popularity of her Mystery Mushroom costume.

It reveals that Yamamura won against Mary O. in the course duel initiated in the previous episode, with Yamamura's course earning a 13% likes-to-players ratio while Mary O.'s course earned a 7% ratio. In the wake of his victory, Yamamura announces that he would be added to the game as a Mystery Mushroom costume. In an ending note, Yamamura emphasizes that the course creation advice he had given throughout the series is not meant to be taken to heart, and that creators should explore and build upon their ideas freely before focusing on making any major adjustments to their course. December 24, 2015 The sixth episode of Super Mario Maker Course Sakusei Kouza Mashiko to Yamamura. Mary O. presents her final homework assignment to Yamamura; however, instead of revising or personally evaluating it, Yamamura reveals a course he made and challenges Mary O. to a duel, wherein the course that earns a bigger "Like" percentage by the next episode wins. December 9, 2015 The fifth episode of Super Mario Maker Course Sakusei Kouza Mashiko to Yamamura. Mary O. turns in her Yoshi Course assignment, which Yamamura revises. He indicates various locations within her level where certain points of interest could be better telegraphed, such as making one side of a pit directly visible from the player's side; he also adds more elements that better make use of Yoshi's abilities. At the end, Yamamura hands Mary O. one last assignment, in which she is tasked to build a course that surpasses her master's work; he then bursts into tears, saying "I never thought I'd see the day I'd have to give this homework". November 20, 2015 The fourth episode of Super Mario Maker Course Sakusei Kouza Mashiko to Yamamura. Yamamura is displeased with Mary O.'s Memorable Course assignment, criticizing its lack of cohesion to the point where he compares it to a "life without karaage". He does, however, praise some aspects of the course, such as the concept of Cloud Blocks being used to hide Boos. Yamamura rebuilds Mary O.'s course almost entirely, placing Boos more sensibly and removing a Yoshi that, he claims, served little function in a Boo-centric course due to his inability to eat them; he thus explains the importance of extensive planning and limiting oneself to their own rules, emphasizing "purpose, style, and functionality". For her next assignment, Mary O. is tasked with making a course that truly utilizes Yoshi's abilities. [useful 19]

November 4, 2015 The third episode of Super Mario Maker Course Sakusei Kouza Mashiko to Yamamura. Yamamura makes some minor adjustments to Mary O.'s latest course in order to ensure it is maximally satisfying to play. Nonetheless, he grudgingly agrees with Mary O. that the course was good to begin with, adding that it is a large improvement over her first attempt to build a course. However, he asserts that it is not memorable enough, thus prompting Mary O. to try and build a "memorable course" for her next assignment. [useful 20]

October 22, 2015 The second episode of Super Mario Maker Course Sakusei Kouza Mashiko to Yamamura. Mary O. presents a course built using a limited amount of assets, a direction that forced her to be more creative than she was with her previous course. Yamamura makes note of her effort and praises several aspects of her course, albeit he makes many corrections. For Mary O.'s next assignment, Yamamura tasks her with building a "satisfying" course, citing "nice jumps" as an example of something that contributes towards player satisfaction. [useful 21]

March 9, 2016 A Daigasso! Band Brothers P comic strip featuring Yamamura from Super Mario Maker. Barbara brags that she has been added as a Mystery Mushroom costume in Super Mario Maker, thinking this owes to her popularity, when her brother Tingting informs her that she was actually included because the game's development team was running low on material for new costumes. Frustrated, Barbara takes Yamamura into a stranglehold, demanding him to use the voice talent of Yu Ayasaki (a character from Daigasso! Band Brothers P) for Mary O.'s soon-to-be-included Mystery Mushroom costume.
At the bottom of the comic strip, there is a link to the first part of Super Mario Maker Course Sakusei Kouza Mashiko to Yamamura, in which said Mary O. costume is unveiled.

A ghost that loves mischief, and often appears from dark areas.
Even though it slowly tries to fly down and approach you from behind, it seems if you turn and face it directly, it becomes embarrassed and completely unable to move.
Is it named "Teresa"a because it is a tereyab?
There are various Boos, among them there's even a large Boo that wears a crown!

Wario's partner. An eccentric character who thinks Luigi is his rival. He has a smug, sly and rebellious personality.
In order to build up strength to battle with Mario and Luigi, it seems he has (up until now) been working hard at a secluded location. Is he actually a nice, hardworking person!?
Because his limbs are long, he can do very well in sports where he can use this to his advantage. However, because his posture is always bad, he doesn't seem to look very strong…
By the way, even though Wario is often with [Waluigi], the two don't seem to be brothers!
