Gears are solid objects that appear only in the sub-area with the Power Moon for the sidequest Stepping Over the Gears in the Luncheon Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. They are platforms with four blades that rotate counterclockwise at the same time, though they stop for a brief moment at regular intervals. Gears appear with other gears above them, connected by a pole, which extends to lava below.

Two sets of gears appear in this sub-area: one with two gears and another one with three gears.
