Konga Beat is Donkey Kong's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. When using it, Donkey Kong will pull out two Bongos and start playing a cover of "DK Island Swing," releasing shockwaves in time with the beat. The initial shockwaves are weak, but the attack can be made stronger by pressing the buttons in tune with each beat of the song. Donkey Kong is invincible during the move, though he is also unable to move during it. While there is no visual indication as to when to press the buttons to the beat in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there is one in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U: a meter will appear above Donkey Kong and red circles will slide across it. Once a red circle enters the larger circle at the end of the meter, the player needs to tap a button to make the shockwave longer. At the end of the Final Smash, Donkey Kong will strike a pose based on how well the player pressed the buttons to the beat.

Konga Beat was inspired from various games. In Donkey Kong 64, Donkey Kong uses a similar music attack, Bongo Blast, and in the Donkey Konga series, he uses bongos to play music. In Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Donkey Kong can make similar circular waves when clapping to stun enemies.

DK about to go to town with some bongos! His performance is so magnificent and upbeat that it creates damage-inducing sound waves. Press the buttons in time to the music, and the sound waves may grow stronger. DK's invulnerable when launching this attack, but he's also immobile, so be careful using it on scrolling stages.

In this Final Smash, DK drums on a set of bongos, just like in the Donkey Konga games. Press the attack button in rhythm with the circles to boost the attack's range and power. Enemy attacks won't affect you, but you can't move, either. Auto-scrolling stages will slow down but won't stop—don't get too carried away in the beat! (American English)
