Egg Rider
Template:Kart-infobox The Egg Rider is Yoshi's special kart in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 and Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, as well as one of Yoshi's special items in Mario Kart Arcade GP.
With a white body and green spots, the Egg Rider is essentially a Yoshi Egg on red wheels. It resembles the Egg 1 from Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 7.
In Mario Kart Arcade GP, the Egg Rider is known as the Egg Body and is one of Yoshi's special items. It is functionally identical to the Star, but it also grants the cosmetic change of turning Yoshi's kart into the Egg Rider temporarily. The Egg Rider reverts back to a standard kart after the item's effects wear off. A variant of the item known as the Egg Body+ exists. This variant extends the duration of the invincibility.
In Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, the Egg Rider is an unlockable special kart for Yoshi. It has good acceleration and average speed. The aforementioned Egg Body item has been removed, as all characters now use the Star as their invincibility item.
In Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, the Egg Rider gives a small increase in speed. Appearance-wise, it is more compacted width-wise and loses the vents on its front fascia.
