T Minus Five is a Duel minigame in Mario Party 6. Its name is derived from a phrase used for the countdown of a rocket launch.

Introduction[edit]

The introduction shows the players being teleported to the first space.

Gameplay[edit]

The objective of the game is for each player to beat the other one. Each player must try to ground-pound when the space the player is standing on is green. If the player successfully ground-pounds on the green space, the player is teleported to the next space. Each time a player moves to a new space, the green light moves faster. There is a total of five spaces. If the player ground-pounds on a yellow space, the player is electrified momentarily. The first player to ground-pound on the final space wins.

Ending[edit]

The winner is teleported next to the rocket, which opens its door. The winner enters the door, then it closes as the rocket takes off. In the next scene, the winner performs their victory pose inside the rocket as the losing player can be seen flying through space.
