It was released by Valiant Comics on October 19, 1990 under the Nintendo Comics System label.[1] The cover art features Mario holding a wrench while transversing a pipe in the Clam Creek Nuclear Reactor, with steam coming from a door with a radioactive symbol on it, referencing the comic Pipes is Pipes, which is featured in this issue.

Notes[edit]

  • Despite being the last published installment, the issue features no indication of the comic ending, with the writers even teasing the possibility of including characters from more Game Boy games in a response to one of the letters. This further supported by the existence of Game Boy No. 6, implying that the comic was planned to have a longer run than four issues.
