Variant of Bat

Ice bats[1] are an icy cyan variant of bat that appears exclusively in Super Mario Galaxy. They appear only in the mission Conquering the Summit in the Freezeflame Galaxy. These enemies act similarly to their ordinary counterparts, and they attack by freezing Mario or Luigi when he collides with them. When the player goes into their territory, they charge at the player to damage them. Ice bats can be defeated only by Fire Mario in-game. Ice Mario is also able to defeat ice bats by spinning or stomping, but this is possible to see only with hacking.[2] When they freeze Mario or Luigi, they taunt or laugh at him when he gets frostbitten. However, spinning can make them back away.
