The Kong Bananza is a Bananza that Donkey Kong can activate in Donkey Kong Bananza to transform into a larger, more powerful Kong. It is taught by the Kong Elder in the Lagoon Layer, Sublayer 101, and is the first Bananza learned.

This form increases Donkey Kong's strength, which allows him to break terrain faster, as well as break terrain that he normally can't break with his regular punches, like concrete.

By holding Y Button and then releasing, Donkey Kong will Charge Punch. The range of destruction of these punches can be increased by upgrading with Skill Points. The golden skill for Kong Bananza, Golden Punch, will make fully charged Charge Punches change the surrounding terrain into pure gold.

It is the only Bananza not to be named after a real-life species on which it is based, and the only one where Pauline does not shout its name to summon it, instead shouting "DK!"

In the DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC, a statue of the Kong Bananza could've been obtained and placed on DK Island when having accrued 1,000,000 emeralds in a single run of the Chip Fever Emerald Rush event. It would be placed on the south beach in front of the DK Mountain Face that doubles as the entrance of the Mountain Cave.

In the Donkey Kong Bananza event for Super Mario Run, a statue of the Kong Bananza form was added as a Kingdom Builder item, unlocked by completing Pauline's set of missions, and the "Kong Bananza" theme is used for the missions menu's background music. The form also appears as the icon for the Donkey Kong Bananza theme in Tetris 99.
