Mexican tile
First appearance Mario is Missing! (1992)

The mexican[sic] tile is a single tile from the Zócalo in Mexico City that is stolen by Koopa Troopas in the PC version of Mario is Missing!. Without this tile, the Zócalo is forced to close until Luigi tracks it down and returns it.

These tiles are described as red and white by the Zócalo's pamphlet, but do not appear this way either in-game nor in real life. The pamphlet also describes them being made by Spanish settlers using igneous rocks taken from Aztec temples.
