“"THE BORE"? Why that overstuffed diva! He couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! Look - he's doing a retro thing with that dated outfit of his. That can only mean we're close - one last push! Operatic Showdown is a battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, exclusively in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC. It is part of the The Control Room main Quest at the Space Opera Network. It is the third and final phase of the Phantom battle.

In this phase, the Phantom is in his Opera form. There are six lights to Dash at. They all must be destroyed to make the Phantom vulnerable to attacks. After the Phantom is defeated, he will dramatically portray his defeat, causing the heroes to applaud.

Layout[edit]

The battlefield is large in size, with the Phantom in the center. Several groups of Goombas, and a few Squashettes and Bravados are present, mostly at the higher elevations. There are Jump Panels and rings throughout the battlefield as to allow the heroes to navigate around better. There are six spotlights present, but four of them are locked and require the other two to be Dashed at. After the first two are destroyed, two of the locked four will unlock, and after those lights are destroyed, the final two will become unlocked. Five lights are located close to the Phantom, while the other light is closer to the heroes.

Battle[edit]

All of the lights must be Dashed at to make the Phantom vulnerable to the heroes' attacks. During the battle, Darkmess portals will appear, containing Squashettes. The turn limit goal is seven turns; if the goal was not reached any of the previous battles, it will carry over into this one. After the Phantom is defeated, the battle is won, and the Phantom is defeated for good.
