The Lushgreen Sea, Great Lighthouse Island is the first Great Lighthouse Island visited in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is visited after Florall Island is linked to Shipshape Island, and lighting it up opens a current to the Color-Full Sea.

History

Prior to Mario and Luigi's visit, they hear from Arc that someone had taken over the Great Lighthouse and were using it for an evil purpose. Connie decides to visit the Great Lighthouse alongside Mario and Luigi to investigate. Once inside, they discover Spite Bulbs; Sprite Bulbs that were cut off from Connectar and running on stale energy.

Further into the lighthouse, the trio encounter the Extension Corps for the first time, who send the Gobblick to attack Mario and Luigi. After Mario and Luigi defeat the Gobblick, the trio reach the top of the Great Lighthouse where Connie uses her Bonding Can to restore light to the Great Lighthouse.

During Mario and Luigi's first visit to Fortress Zokket, the Great Lighthouse alongside the other three fire the Glohmatic Quad-Ray directly at Bowser on Zokket's orders, transforming him into Glohm Bowser. When Concordia gets restored, the wave of Connectar from the Uni-Tree dispels the Glohm energy from the Great Lighthouse.

Patriarc Note

As with the other three Great Lighthouse Islands, the Lushgreen Sea's Great Lighthouse Island has one of Patriarc's notes. The note can be found near the Gobblick's former spot after it dies. In this note, Patriarc questions what the Extension Corps want with Spite Bulbs. The note reads:

There's a fishy trio workin' like crazy trawling up a whole mess of Spite Bulbs. What in crustaceans are they planning to do with so many of the rotten things? "How many Spite Bulbs do we need for this?" "Who knows? Just get all you can." I'm logging all this ominous stuff, hoping this info gets to a hero who can help. From history's front lines, Patriarc.

Enemies

After accepting the Glohm Gobblick side quest, the enemies are replaced with Glohm versions of themselves.
