STACHE-Up
STACHE-Up is a positive status effect that appears in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. When Mario or Luigi have this status effect, their STACHE stat is boosted by a variable percentage depending on the source. A higher STACHE stat makes it more likely for the character to get a LUCKY hit, boosting the damage of the hit. Mario and Luigi are the only ones able to use this status effect, as enemies do not have a STACHE stat.
STACHE-Up can be gained by equipping the Spirited Item Battle Plug and using any type of Candy. The normal Candy boosts STACHE by 10%, Super Candy boosts by 20%, Ultra Candy boosts by 30%, and Max Candy boosts by 40%. STACHE-Up can also be randomly gained by equipping the gear items Gamble Hammer or Gamble Hammer DX and having the user defeat an enemy with a Hammer attack. STACHE-Up from the Gamble Hammer or Gamble Hammer DX provides a 20% boost.
