Urban Legend: Gold Mt. Mariomore[edit]

Should we put the Gold Mt. Mariomore as an urban legend in the trivia section? Many people believed(and STILL believe) in it...--CastleResearch (talk) 15:19, 13 June 2014 (EDT)

Many people are gullible idiots. I don't think it needs a mention, because we don't really cover myths like this. I'd believe in Pink Gold Mt. Mariomore Sprite of Mario's icon in Mario Party DS It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 19:08, 13 June 2014 (EDT)
But how about add about the Mt. Mariomore? I DO think it needs a mention! Lucoshi (talk) 15:59, 30 June 2016 (EDT)
Huh, as long as we have something to document it (sources), then we can add it in List of rumors and urban legends about Mario. This was created well after my comment above, so just ignore it. Sprite of Mario's icon in Mario Party DS It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:08, 2 July 2016 (EDT)

All Fired Up[edit]

Did you watch any video of what happens when 60 seconds passed in All Fired Up?

If all 4 players are skilled, no one COM, when 60 seconds passed and no one has touched a podoboo, it might end in a draw. --AJOMarioWiki (talk) 02:32, October 28, 2023 (EDT)

Favorite Item?[edit]

In Mario Party 2 & 3, characters each have their own "favorite items." I'm inclined to believe that this means that, when controlled by AI, a character is more likely to purchase their favorite item (or steal it from their opponent when properly equipped) than others, but I'm not entirely sure. In playing these games, I have noticed this behavior but I won't add it to the page unless it's a confirmed algorithm (because it could just be placebo or happenstance). Does anyone know if "favorite item" has any meaning, or is it just there to add flavor to the different characters? Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 13:52, 3 March 2019 (EST)

Yajirushi Ankou?[edit]

In the navigation for Mario Party 3, a "character" named Yajirushi Ankou is mentioned in the "Other Characters" tab. Is this the same "character" as Yajirushi-kun aka the Arrowhead "character" or someone different? I assume them to be the same because Yajirushi means Arrow or Arrowmark, but correct me if I'm mistaken.--Sprite of a fatter Baby Fat, from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Pizza Master Waluigi using the Bitsize Candy from Mario Party 8 17:03, June 26, 2024 (EDT)

Is anyone aware of whether "Yajirushi Ankou" refers to the Arrowhead board or is this a separate character who has yet to have their article be created?--Sprite of a fatter Baby Fat, from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Pizza Master Waluigi using the Bitsize Candy from Mario Party 8 22:06, August 27, 2024 (EDT)

According to this discussion, it's meant to be the anglerfish found in Deep Bloober Sea. Power Flotzo (talk) 22:32, August 27, 2024 (EDT)

Flash game names[edit]

A Yellow Block from Super Mario World This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment.

Current time: February 26, 2026, 19:13 (UTC)

Based on the vote so far, this proposal may be eligible to close one week early. Please use {{proposal check|early=yes}} on February 27, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC) and close the proposal if applicable.

Multiple Adobe Flash games were published on the official Mario Party 3 website, though next to none of them have been archived. Names are available for most of them (i.e. Dueling Drums, Memory Shake, Mugging it Up, Chicken Herding, Fired Up), though certain games don't currently have archived official names (such as Chip Shot Challenge (Flash game), which is referred to on the website as "pop_golf". Other games that currently don't have pages are also available on the site, including pop_rocket, pop_blocks, pop_popgun (whose .SWF also refers to it as "popgun"), and pop_swim. This proposal aims to determine if these .SWF and .HTML names are suitable for Chip Shot Challenge and the currently-pageless other games, as there are currently no other names to go by that aren't conjectural.

If this proposal were to pass, Chip Shot Challenge (Flash game) would be moved to golf (Flash game) (as the "pop" bit is not part of the name; for instance, the FAQ also uses said prefix), and the currently-not-created pages for the other lost Flash games would be created at their designated names.

pop_support[edit]

  1. pop_nelsonic (talk) pop_per-proposal.htm
  2. pop_altendo.SWF I mean, yeah. The proposed names aren't so great, but they're still official filenames, and it still takes priority over conjectural names (as shown in the naming policy, although I am not sure if derived names, as these names are currently at, take precedent over filenames).
  3. CAMWOOD/STOCK/SHARED.DIR (talk) If a file name's good enough for WarioWare: Touched Souvenier, it's good enough for these, yeah? (We wonder if this should maybe be more broadly clarified in MarioWiki:Article naming, since this definitely sets a very overt precedent.)
  4. pop_rykitu.swf (talk) Per all.
  5. EvieMaybe (talk) per pop_osal
  6. Keegster2 (talk) It's a little bold of us to assume that "pop_golf" is an exact replica of Chip Shot Challenge, anyway. Per all.
