Template:Levelbox World 9-7 is the seventh level of World 9 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is unlocked by collecting all of the Star Coins in World 7. This course features the background and jungle theme from World 5. Like all levels in World 9, there is no Checkpoint Flag. It is the only level to feature Munchers.
Layout
This level takes place in a snowy forest. At the beginning of the level, Mario must progress by jumping over Warp Pipes and small hills. Fire Piranha Plants, Munchers (which are encased in ice and become active when thawed) and Prickly Goombas try to defeat Mario while he is progressing. Mario then reaches an area with a large number of Fire Piranha Plants blocking his way and destroying the icy ground with their fireballs. Finally, Mario finds two Fire Bros. destroying ice blocks with their fireballs. Past the Fire Bros., Mario must jump over a pit to reach the Goal Pole.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Near the beginning of the level, the first Star Coin is floating above two frozen coins. Mario and co. must jump up and get it before the coins are thawed out by the Fire Piranha Plants.
- Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is floating under the long row of frozen Coins above a smaller row of frozen Coins. Mario and co. must wait for the nearby Fire Piranha Plants to thaw out enough coins to make the Star Coin accessible.
- Star Coin 3: The third Star Coin is surrounded by three rows of frozen Coins, two vertical and one horizontal. After the nearby Fire Bros. thaw out enough of the coins on the horizontal row, Mario and co. should fall to the Star Coin, then use the two vertical rows of frozen Coins to wall kick to safety.
