Template:Worldbox World 3 is the first world in the Super Mario Bros. to be set at nighttime. In Super Mario All-Stars, the ground levels are also covered in snow. This world also introduces the Hammer Brothers and consists of two ground levels, one level set at the heights, and one Castle.

Level Preview Summary
World 3-1 Level preview. The first level of World 3, this level introduces the Hammer Brothers.
World 3-2 Level preview. The second level of World 3. This level has a lot of Koopas and Goombas to avoid.
World 3-3 Level preview. The third level of World 3 that takes place on top of trees and utilizes scale lifts.
World 3-4 Preview for most castles from the Super Mario All-Stars versions of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. The final level of World 3. This level has a Buzzy Beetle disguising as Bowser.

Trivia

  • Though the world is set at night, no objects' colors are affected. As a result, in Hard Mode, the Buzzy Beetles are almost invisible.
  • This and World 6 are the only two worlds in Super Mario Bros. that are set completely at night.
