World 2-3 is the third main level and the fourth level overall of Desert Land in Super Mario Bros. 3, accessed by completing World 2-Fortress. Its own completion will allow the player to access World 2-
Desert.
Layout
The level is main up of several pyramid structures made up of either Semisolid Platforms or Brick Blocks. The first pyramid has a Firesnake, a Koopa Troopa, and a power-up in the ? Block to the right on top, the second pyramid has two Firesnakes and a Starman power-up in the right ? Block on top, and the third and tallest pyramid has more Koopa Troopas and a Firesnake, along with a power-up in the ? Block to the left on top. Afterward are the pyramid structures made up of Brick Blocks with several Pile Driver Micro-Goombas hidden within. Above the Brick Block pyramids is a hidden Switch Block that can turn the pyramids into coins and allow the player to collect a 1-Up Mushroom. Beyond the brick pyramids is an enclosed structure with two Koopa Troopas moving around inside it. By kicking a Koopa Troopa into the bricks, the player can uncover the Warp Pipe that leads to the goal.
