Egg Roll is Yoshi's side special move in the Super Smash Bros. series starting with Super Smash Bros. Melee. Yoshi curls up into an egg and rolls around across the stage for as long as the move lasts. The player can also automatically cancel the move by pressing the special move button while Yoshi is moving; in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Yoshi is helpless after the move is ended in the air, but this does not happen in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Yoshi can also still jump while rolling.

Also, in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, this move is given two customizable unlockable variants. The first one is Heavy Egg Roll, which has Yoshi roll more slowly but deal more damage; Yoshi also has super armor, meaning that the attack cannot be disrupted. The second variant is Light Egg Roll, which has Yoshi jump once as he rolls before breaking out of the egg when he lands, meaning the move does not last as long.

Like Green Missile and Whirling Fortress, Egg Roll conceptually returns outside of the Super Smash Bros. series, appearing in Mario Power Tennis as Yoshi's Defensive Power Shot, Rolling Egg Return. A similar move also appears in Mario Strikers Charged as Yoshi's Super Ability, Egg Roll!
