First appearance Super Mario Odyssey (2017)

Stone markers[1] are objects that appear in the Chain Chomp sub-area of the Cascade Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. They are concave carvings in stone slightly larger than a Chain Chomp's head with circular markings in them. Three are found in the sub-area, with a secret fourth one found past the Power Moon for the objective Nice Shot with the Chain Chomp! After Mario knocks a Chain Chomp into a stone marker with a captured Chain Chomp, it opens the wall east of him, allowing him to progress (or, in the case of the secret stone marker, get the second Power Moon of the sub-area for the objective Very Nice Shot with the Chain Chomp!).
