He should then manoeuvre himself to the bottom of the planet where [[Goomba]]s and [[Slurple]]s are found. Multiple [[Item Crystal]]s with [[Star Bit]]s and a single [[? Mario or Luigi should find a pathway that twists the gravity a little bit before reaching a [[Luma]] that transforms itself to a series of [[Pull Star]]s. Using these Pull Stars, Mario or Luigi can then access a [[Launch Star]], which will launch them to the pear planet. Here, he can find Item Crystals with Star Bits, Goombas, and [[Thorny Flower]]s. Should Mario or Luigi have less than 100 Star Bits at the point of launching himself from the Launch Star, ten Star Bits will appear. Once the Hungry Luma has been fed 100 Star Bits, the Hungry Luma will transform into the tower planet, leaving a pink Launch Star behind. Using the pink Launch Star, Mario or Luigi can access this newborn planet. Mario or Luigi has to climb this tower planet whilst manoeuvring around thorny plants and Goombas. He can also find some [[Crate]]s that break upon [[spin]]ning near them on this planet. After having accessed the top of the tower planet, he will then access a Launch Star that takes him to the pill planet. The exterior of the pill planet has many Item Crystals with Star Bits, and some Octoombas. It also an empty Item Crystal that blocks the access to the interior of the planet. Upon destroying this Item Crystal, Mario or Luigi can then access the interior of the pill planet. The interior of the pill planet is laid out like a circular 2D-side scrolling area with varying gravity. The background of the area decides what gravity applies: should the background be blue, downwards gravity is in play, but if the background is red, then upwards gravity is in play. The goal here is to climb all the way to the top of the planet's interior. Once Mario or Luigi has reached the top of the interior, three Goombas and a Launch Star are found. The Launch Star here will take him to the final planet of the mission, the star planet. The star planet has five blue [[Star Chip]]s that should be collected to make five Pull Stars appear. Using the Pull Stars, he can then access the [[Power Star]] of the mission.

Mario lands on the grassy starting planet and finds blue Octoombas. The bottom of the planet contains Goombas, Slurples, multiple Item Crystals containing Star Bits, and a single ? Block filled with Star Bits. Meanwhile, a constant comet stream releases Star Bits. Mario should find a twisted pathway to reach a Luma that transforms itself to a series of Pull Stars. Using these Pull Stars, Mario use the Launch Star to visit the pear planet, which is part of a network containing additionally an egg planet and a rock planet. On the pear planet, he can find Goombas, Thorny Flowers, and Item Crystals with Star Bits. One Launch Star takes him to the rock planet while the other Launch Star takes him to the egg planet. If Mario has less than 100 Star Bits when launching himself, ten Star Bits will appear. Once on the rock planet, Mario has to avoid Boulders and find Item Crystals containing Star Bits. A single Sling Star allows Mario to grab three more Star Bits and a single Coin. Mario can use a Launch Star that leads to the egg planet or another Launch Star that returns him to the pear planet. On the egg planet, a Hungry Luma requests Mario to consume 100 Star Bits. The egg planet has a couple of Goombas and more Item Crystals with Star Bits. The Launch Star here takes him to the pear planet while another Launch Star that takes him to the rock planet.
