Template:Levelbox World 9-7 is the seventh level of the ninth world in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is notoriously difficult and the penultimate level of the game. It can be unlocked by collecting every Star Coin in World 7. This is the only level to feature Munchers.
Layout
This level takes place in a snowy forest. At the beginning of the level, Mario must progress by jumping over some pipes and small hills. Fire Piranha Plants, Munchers and Prickly Goombas try to defeat Mario while he is progressing. Mario will then reach an area with a large number of Fire Piranha Plants blocking his way and destroying the ground which is made of ice using their fireballs. After that, Mario will find two Fire Bros. destroying the ground using their fireballs. After that, Mario must jump over a pit to reach the Flagpole.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Near the beginning of the level, the first Star Coin is floating above two frozen Coins. Mario and co. must jump up and get it before the Coins are thawed out by any Fire Piranha Plants.
- Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is floating under the long row of frozen Coins, above a smaller row of frozen Coins. Mario and co. must make the nearby Fire Piranha Plants thaw out enough Coins to make the Star Coin accessible.
- Star Coin 3: The third Star Coin is surrounded by three rows of frozen Coins, two vertical and one horizontal. After making the nearby Fire Bros thaw out enough of the Coins on the horizontal row, Mario and co. should fall to the Star Coin, then use the two vertical rows of frozen Coins to wall kick to safety.
