Fawful Guys are a variant of Shy Guys that appear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. They wear orange robes and a green Fawful-like mask. Their profile for Bowser Jr.'s Journey states that they willingly defected to Fawful's side. In the 3DS version of Bowser's Inside Story, they wear light orange clothes with blue shoes, while in the Bowser Jr.'s Journey side mode, they wear dark orange clothes and black shoes similar to the original game.
Fawful Guys are found in Bowser Path, where Bowser can instantly defeat them in the overworld for coins, and they also appear in battle alongside Magifoofas in Bowser's Castle. A stronger variant, the Dark Fawful Guy, appears later in Peach's Castle.
Battle
One of the Fawful Guy's attacks has them eaten by a Yoshi-like tongue that extends from offscreen; this is preceded by a Yoob-like roar in the original game. A targeting cursor then appears, referencing the Yoshi's Island games, and aims for Mario or Luigi. A green Yoshi Egg with orange spots containing the Fawful Guy is fired at the target, which can be countered by jumping over it; jumping on the egg will break it open and damage the Fawful Guy.
Fawful Guys will also leap towards the brothers à la Woozy Guys and attempt to headbutt them, which must be countered with the hammer. They will occasionally reveal Glide Guy-style umbrellas on their heads, delaying their drops and changing the counterattack's timing.
In the remake's Bowser Jr.'s Journey mode, Fawful Guys are Melee-type units. Their Special Skill is Chain Stomp.
