A Pineapple is a fruit that appears throughout the Mario and Donkey Kong franchises.

In The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode, "Too Hot to Handle," a pineapple patch grew on Waki-Waki. Mario, Luigi, and Toad used the pineapples as projectiles against King Koopa's Shy Guys in the same manner they used vegetables in Super Mario Bros. 2.

In Donkey Kong Circus, Donkey Kong to juggle pineapples in order to entertain Mario and large crowds of people. Donkey Kong had to do this whilst balancing on a barrel.

Pineapples appear in Yoshi, after the player clears levels 16 through 18 of the B-Type game, rewarding the player 800 points.

Pineapples make a smaller appearance in the game Donkey Kong 64. They are shot out of Chunky Kong's Pineapple Launcher.

In Mario Party 4, pineapples appear in the Bowser minigame Fruits of Doom, as one of the potential fruits on Bowser's list.

In Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, there a giant pineapple appears at the end of each level of its titular kingdom, Pineapple Kingdom. Donkey Kong must bite into the Pineapple to end the level. Blood Pines, another kind of pineapple, also appears in that game.

Pineapples appear as a fruit for Yoshis in Super Mario Sunshine. When a Yoshi eats one, it will become orange and its Juice meter will be filled, allowing it to turn enemies into orange stationary platforms. An abnormally large pineapple also appears on a local rooftop, blocking the red Warp Pipe leading to Sirena Beach. The player must use a Yoshi to eat the large pineapple and unblock the Warp Pipe before they can progress. This one does not change the Yoshi's color or fill its juice meter.
