Daytripper
Template:Kart-infobox The Daytripper (known as the Royal Racer in the PAL regions) is a medium-sized kart found in Mario Kart Wii. The vehicle resembles an old-fashioned coach in the shape of a curled slipper with its rear tires larger than the front tires.
The bike counterpart for this kart is the Sugarscoot, which is available from the start, unlike the Daytripper, which can be unlocked by winning the 150cc Leaf Cup. This is the only pair of counterparts in which one vehicle is a starter, while the other is an unlockable.
Princess Peach's Daytripper makes a cameo appearance as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Stats
Template:Mkwiistat The Daytripper features great handling along with decent weight, acceleration, off-road, and Mini-Turbo. However, its speed and drifting are rather low. It shares the same weight as the Standard Kart M. However, it's the slowest medium kart in the game.

Peach + Daytripper | Wii Mario Kart Wii 04/2008 | You may think it doesn't look like a racer. You may think it would look more at home on a carousel. But Peach will have the last laugh as she sails past the finish line, leaving you in the dust. The Daytripper's great handling lets it breeze through even the trickiest of courses–and what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in acceleration. |

Trivia
- The Female Mii is the only driver to use white as the primary body color for the Daytripper while all other characters use white as the secondary body color. However, this is due to that a medium-sized Female Mii's kart color scheme is the inverse of Peach's color scheme for all karts, except for the Super Blooper and Sprinter.
- If Dry Bowser uses the Offroader, it's off-road will surpass the Daytripper by one point.
- This vehicle, along with the Cheep Charger, the Classic Dragster, the Dolphin Dasher, and the Honeycoupe, has a color scheme for each character, making it have the traditional colors of the rainbow.
- This is the only one that doesn't have a difference.
- The Daytripper and its bike counterpart the Sugarscoot are the only medium vehicles to use Peach's versions as for Time Trials records, the Mario Kart Channel, and on the unlocking screens (Daytripper only, since the Sugarscoot is a starter vehicle); while all other medium vehicles use Mario's versions for these appearances.
- The vehicle references to the Beatles' song "Day Tripper", and the Spanish name of the kart references to the lyric of the song: "She was a daytripper, Sunday driver yeah"
