Hole (Super Mario Odyssey)

An archer port

Holes, also referred to as archer ports^[1] and archer's ports,^[2] are objects that appear in the Bowser's Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. They're small openings in the walls, some of which are open. When Mario captures Pokio, he can use its beak to poke inside the open hole, which rewards him with a Power Moon.

According to the brochure, these holes were previously used by defenders to shoot at invaders.
