World 3-1 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)
Template:Levelbox World 3-1 is the first level of the third world in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The level starts in a snowy ground with Cooligans sliding in Mario's direction. The next part contains big bump ice ground, Piranha Plants and Paratroopas. Then Mario explores an small part with giant ice walls. After entering in a pipe. Mario will see a long slippy track and can slide on it with a Penguin Suit until the Flagpole.
Layout
The level start with ? Blocks and Cooligans coming from the right. After avoiding the Cooligans, there will be two Piranha Plants and a ? Block containing a Penguin Suit. After that, Mario will find Koopa Troopas and more Cooligans. There will be a Checkpoint and a Warp Pipe, which Mario must use to progress trough the level. The Warp Pipe leads a place with a Red Coin Ring and a ? Block with a Penguin Suit. After that, Mario must slide with the Penguin Suit to collect the Red Coins and reach the Flagpole while avoiding some enemies.
Star Coins
A Penguin Suit is required for all three Star Coins.
- Star Coin 1: After the first two Green Pipes from which Piranha Plants emerge, Mario and co. should penguin slide on the ice and will crash through some Brick Blocks, finally sliding into the first Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2: To the right of the Checkpoint Flag are two routes, the bottom one housing the second Star Coin. Mario and co. should freeze the Piranha Plant that emerges from the Green Pipe, then use it to land on after jumping to the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: Not too far from the exit Pipe that leads from the previous area is a Green Pipe blocked off by two Brick Blocks. Mario and co. should penguin slide through these Brick Blocks and enter the Pipe, which leads to an area with a Yellow Pipe from which Cooligans emerge. Mario and co. should freeze an incoming Cooligan, get on it, ride it to the pit, then jump up to both the third Star Coin and safety.
