Level information

Level Preview Description
World 8-1 File:World 8-1LL.PNG This level is quite intricate, requiring adequate jumping skills in order to survive. There are many Piranha Plants and Paratroopas present in this level, as well as a few Buzzy Beetles and Hammer Bros. The level also has a backwards Warp Zone, which takes Mario or Luigi back to World 5, so it is recommended not to go through any Warp Pipes.
World 8-2 File:World 8-2LL.PNG This is a very short level, though it can be confusing if not done properly. Instead of a flagpole, there is a Warp Pipe at the end of the level that will only take the player into a bonus area and then take them back to the start. The only way out requires stomping a midair Paratroopa in order to strike a block containing a Beanstalk that leads to the actual exit.
World 8-3 File:World 8-3LL.PNG This level is all high in the sky, and it has about as many Hammer Bros., just like the original [[World 8 (Super Mario Bros.)#World 8-3|World 8-3]] from the first game. All of the castle walls in the background were removed from the All-Stars version. As a result, all of the Brick Blocks in front of the walls that seemed invisible until the player hit them were replaced by actually Invisible Blocks. This makes it impossible to speed run the level, as the player must use these blocks to reach a pulley platform at the end of the level, and now must hit them first in order to turn around and walk on them, rather than having them being already there.
World 8-4 File:World 8-4Prev.PNG World 8-4 involves especially careful jumping and confusing paths through Warp Pipes, like the first [[World 8 (Super Mario Bros.)#World 8-4|World 8-4]]. There is a very notable feature in this level, it involves two Bowsers, one being a blue fake Bowser and the other being the real one. After finishing this level, the player will be taken to World 9 (if the game was completed without warping) or back to the title screen (or World A if a warp pipe was used in the All-Stars version).
